Interesting writing, Offbeat, Great staging

See it if you like WTF plays that take you along on a ride without a clear destination, where each scene is played until rug is pulled from under it.

Don't see it if you don't like shows whose sum is less than its parts.Unclear what role specific characters & scenes play in the greater plan -is there one?

Relevant, Bewildering, Stream-of-consciousness, Quirky, Ambitious

See it if you like absurd/surreal stream-of-consciousness plays where you have to piece it together as you go; you’re ok w/a nonexistent fourth wall.

Don't see it if you want a concrete plot, or characters, or really concrete anything; you didn’t like the recent Grief Hotel (Public Theater). Read more

Great acting, Great staging, Quirky, Disappointing, Confusing

See it if the staging is the star of the show with moving sets sustaining my curiosity and interest; starts out intriguing and fun then turns dark

Don't see it if nothing much left to grasp onto, what have we lost and could we be morphing into non existence? not sure I have enough insight into the play

Slow, Insipid, Indulgent, Pretentious, Confusing

See it if I don't know, you want to see a play for its scenic designs. Or want, I guess, absurbist with pretentious & non understandable tones.

Don't see it if Really, this was 90 minutes long & felt longer & non-coherant than 3 hour plays.

Slow, No respect for the audience, Fluffy, Excruciating, Confusing

See it if You like shows where the playwright is clearly making a jerk out of its audience for being there

Don't see it if You are looking for something that you can sink your teeth into. This is absurd and they are telling you that that is exactly what it is Read more

Quirky, Indulgent, Excruciating, Disappointing, Boring

See it if you have two hours in your life that you are willing to give up for this "play".

Don't see it if jut stay away from Playwrights Horizons. A lot of bad choices have been made there lately. I wish Tim Sanford didn't leave.

Affecting, Surreal, Gorgeous

See it if A deep, gorgeous, funny play, written artfully and with intention. The direction, acting, set, lighting, sound, costumes—everything about it

Don't see it if —are sharp and invigorating. The existential dread doesn't let up, yet somehow, along with the mystery and dread, it continues to serve up Read more
