See it if You really love popular and mostly upbeat songs from the 1960.
Don't see it if You like going to see traditional musicals with typical story lines. This is mostly a show which showcases the 1960s Greatest Pop Hits.
See it if excellent show should be on broadway excellent songs dances and music must see

See it if You love the 60's music and dancing. I loved it. Loved the costume and the stage. Very entertaining and colorful.
Don't see it if If you want to see a show with talking. There is only music and dancing.
See it if You enjoy nostalgia from the 60's and you like hearing old favorites sung well with terrific dancing to match.
Don't see it if you are looking for a great story, as there is hardly a story here, just more of a concert.
See it if you love 1960's music song and played well and excellent dancing as precise as it gets

See it if You are a fan of music from the 60's. It is a fun, cruise ship style review. The singing and dancing are what make this show really pop!
Don't see it if You don't like 60's music or require dialogue to follow a story-line. This is wall-to-wall music...good music.

"Somebody put a lot of money into 'Trip of Love,' an incongruous collection of Top 40 hits from the 1960s delivered by romping, writhing singer-dancers on garish sets. It’s too bad the investment of thought doesn’t match the investment of cash...There was certainly an opportunity here to make a more involving piece of theater. A barely-there, cliché-filled story line flits through. "

"A horror show named 'Trip Of Love' has taken over the Little Shubert Theatre, recently renamed Stage 42 possibly so patrons will forget that nothing here has ever won the love of critics or theatergoers. New name or no new name, the theater remains the Bermuda Triangle of shows — in this case, deservedly so. 'Trip Of Love' will quickly disappear into the floposphere. This hallucinogenically vacant mish-mosh of Sixties hits would, however, fit perfectly on the Las Vegas Strip."

"There aren't enough drugs on the planet to make 'Trip of Love' anything but a bad trip. James Walski's musical revue celebrating the pop songs of the 1960s opens off-Broadway after receiving its world premiere in 2008 in Osaka, Japan. There, according to the program, it received the 'generous support of the city of Osaka.' Unlikely to receive similar beneficence on these shores, this ghastly show is destined to become merely the latest in a long line of bombs presented at Stage 42."

"This unashamed presentation of evocative imagery and dance is 'Trip of Love's' greatest charm...It's all gleefully superficial, only daring to hoist a protest sign when it complements its fabulous knee-high go-go boots. Which is why it's so disappointing when the second act tries to say something profound about the extraordinary social change that accompanied this music, but only succeeds in alerting us to the absurdity of the show's premise."

"Calorie-free fluff is one of the hardest theatrical genres to ace because there's nothing to hide behind, and Walski hasn't polished his own content-free lark to a sufficiently blinding sheen. 'Trip of Love' premiered in 2008 in Osaka, where all this might have seemed fresher or less derivative than it does in the United States in 2015. But given this country's unique history with the Vietnam War and illicit drug use, shows like this one that go barely halfway with both just don't cut it."

"Seen while having cocktails during a vacation on a cruise ship or in a Las Vegas showroom 'Trip of Love' might be viewed as an entertaining diversion. Its virtues in a large New York City Off-Broadway theater are debatable... As a well-mounted evening of innocuous retro song and dance, it does succeed and that might be enough for some audiences."

There is no book nor does it credit anyone one for writing one and the presumed attempt to provide a storyline to connect the songs mostly fails...'Trip of Love' is fun, entertaining, almost perfectly and professionally executed, and has an incredibly talented cast of singers and dancers with irrepressible talent and energy."
