See it if You appreciate one-woman original shows with an extremely talent actress playing several roles AND you like current events depicted onstage.

Don't see it if You don't like confrontation.

See it if you can at least tolerate one person shows. Masterful. Like a pool pro running the table. Show is moving soon. Just go.

Don't see it if you prefer a traditional cast and dialogue experience. Perhaps five minutes too long. One predictable punch line.

Show Addict gave The Encounter a 95

See it if You love good storytelling and/or amazing audio design. Also if you want a very different, personal theatrical experience.

Don't see it if You want to let the actors do all the work to entertain you, you need a lot of visual stimulation, or can't sit still for 2hrs.

See it if you need a laugh. The joke density is truly astronomical and there's certainly something you'll find to amuse.

Don't see it if you're the type to worry your performance is different from others. Improvisation and a special guest mean there are variables.

November 22nd, 2016

See it if You want to experience a party like no other. Brilliant staging and engaging performances makes you feel swept away like a Gypsy bride.

Don't see it if You have no sense of adventure and only enjoy very traditional theatre.

Great staging, Entertaining, Indulgent, Fluffy, Delightful
November 22nd, 2016

See it if You enjoy your holiday celebration with sparkles, high kicks & lots of extravagance! The 2017 staging is the best version yet! Must see!!

Don't see it if You are not up for the tourist crowd. Go with patience in mind. The show can get a little silly when it's not all about the Rockettes.

Jenna the Musical gave Fiorello! a 80

Entertaining, Dated, Delightful, Great acting
September 8th, 2016

See it if you're interested in checking out up-and-coming talent in a rarely revived musical. An excellent show for an election year.

Don't see it if you're looking for a new and fresh interpretation of the musical. This is fun and energized, but the material is a little dated.

September 10th, 2016

See it if You enjoy quirky theatre, non-traditional storytelling, quirky characters and interesting staging.

Don't see it if You like traditional theatre or are bored by behaviour and interested only in dialogue. If you hate the unique this is not for you.

September 9th, 2016

See it if You like theater that makes you think and is also enjoyable. Excellent script and acting and several fabulous dizzy moments of pure joy.

Don't see it if You like plays that are conventional.

Elizabeth Law gave A Day by the Sea a 86

Resonant, Intelligent, Rediscovered, Ensemble, Conversational
September 8th, 2016

See it if You appreciate well-written, unknown older plays well-presented. Good for Chekhov and Richard Nelson fans--conversational but deep.

Don't see it if It's a period piece, all talk. 3 hours goes fast but it's a subtle, funny play, not a barn burner. The audience very engaged when we saw it

Greengrowthelilacs gave Bears in Space a 81

Clever, Delightful, Entertaining, Hilarious, Quirky
September 9th, 2016

See it if You love off-the-wall, creative and hilarious theatre. The actor are incredible and the writing is sharp and witty, yet never cloying.

Don't see it if You want something that explores modern social issues or deals with heavy-handed subject matter. This show is light, yet very poignant.

September 10th, 2016

See it if you want to see exciting writing by a new voice with an incredibly innovative and creative view of life in a superbly staged production.

Don't see it if no reason not to see it. Just too good to miss.

See it if You love a story told unbelievably well. Staging and lighting that will make you feel included in the narrative. Lastly, characterization

Don't see it if If you get thrown off by musical theatre infused with hip hop or rap. You like a slower paced show.

Barbara Kempe gave Sense & Sensibility a 80

July 25th, 2016

See it if You love Jane Austen and/or this story and you would enjoy seeing it done in a new, original way.

Don't see it if You are unfamiliar with the story and easily bored or confused, or you don't like content with a bit of an "old-fashioned" feel.

Benjamin A gave The Humans a 81

July 23rd, 2016

See it if you've never experienced real, theatrical dread before. There are moments where the sense of unease seems to seep in every corner.

Don't see it if A family drama on Thanksgiving is not interesting or fun to you.

John Francis gave White Rabbit Red Rabbit a 65

65
Clever, Entertaining, Thought-provoking
July 19th, 2016

See it if you're a fan of the actor reading the script that evening and are looking to see them candid and uncensored.

Don't see it if you're expecting a great play. The evening doesn't really rise above "clever" and "interesting". The script could have gone much deeper.

See it if ...you've ever struggled to understand your parents, and why you grew up the way you did. A universal tale.

Don't see it if ...you're looking for easy answers. This family, like all families, is complex and nuanced.

See it if You like new works, you like the writer, you want to see creative staging and love theatre that created an environment.

Don't see it if You want a theatrical piece full of drama, you don't like folk music, you don't like contemporary theatre you want a musical structured show
