At Show-Score, the audience comes first. We are all about highlighting the diverse voices in our community and promoting respectful discourse. That’s why we ask you to always consider the opposing view, with “see it if” vs. “don’t see it if”.
This Thursday January 19 at 5:30pm, The Ghostlight Project will gather at the Red Stairs above the TKTS booth in Times Square to highlight theater as a safe space for artist and audience voices alike.
We are thrilled to join them and hope you will come by and say hello!
The Ghostlight Project is a nationwide movement of theater professionals and fans. Inspired by the theatrical tradition of keeping a “ghost light” on in a darkened theater, the Ghostlight Project hopes to serve as a light in an age where people often judge before taking the time to listen.
Here's Ghostlight organizer Leigh Silverman, a Tony-nominated director, talking about the event with our Steve Schonberg in a Facebook Live interview:
Aside from the rally we will be attending in Times Square, there will be meetups around New York, which you can find here.
There will also be rallies in all 50 states; information for those is here.
Show-Score will be attending the rally on Thursday the 19th to stand in support of the theater and all of its voices. Join us!
Look for our signs on the Red Stairs above the TKTS booth, or follow us on Twitter and Facebook for live updates of our location. We will have hot chocolate and signs so we will be easy to find!
