The original production won ten Tony Awards including a special Tony for becoming the longest-running Broadway musical of all time. The revival, from the creative team behind 'The King and I', will be based on the Tony Award-winning original conception and choreography of Jerome Robbins, and will feature choreography by Israeli-born artist Hofesh Shechter. This heartwarming musical is the story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and the timeless traditions that define faith and family.

See it if you want family-friendly fare that's mentally-stimulating; if you enjoy iconic and classic musicals; if you want to feel alive post-show.

Don't see it if you dislike traditional, classic, and iconic theatre; you don't like musicals and would prefer a heavy drama; are anti-Semitic.

Entertaining, Great acting, Disappointing, Great singing

See it if You want a great story, and a wonderful Tevya. Danny Burstein was outstanding! And the choreography was GREAT!

Don't see it if You know the show, and have seen a well directed production. The staging wasn't my cup of tea! - Especially the song Anatevka.

Ambitious, Entertaining, Great acting, Epic, Great singing

See it if you want to see another dimension to this classic. Danny Burstein's youth made it all the more vibrant, and Sher's direction was terrific.

Don't see it if You don't care about variations on the theme of classic musicals. It's worth seeing just for the direction alone.

Absorbing, Enchanting, Exquisite, Delightful, Resonant

See it if you are a fan of history, excellent melodies, substance and one of the best musicals of all time

Don't see it if you like Jersey Boys and musicals of that genre

Great acting, Must see, Delightful, Refreshing, Great singing

See it if you enjoy beautiful updated choreography, classic story

Don't see it if you don't enjoy traditional musicals

Great acting, Great writing, Profound, Absorbing, Entertaining

See it if You like an excellent production of this classic play with a great cast. Danny Burstein was wonderful and fresh as Tevye.

Don't see it if You're not a fan of the original play or of musicals in general.

Exquisite, Intelligent

See it if you want to see a new vision of an old favorite done with heart and extra soul

Don't see it if you want to see the same production you saw in the 60s

Exquisite, Great singing, Great acting, Great staging, Profound

See it if an old-school historic score resonates. Probably the best production I've ever seen of Fiddler, an unusually sad, whiny & draining drama.

Don't see it if you don't enjoy classic/epic shows. The humor, excellent acting, singing AND the dancing (!!!) set this production apart from all others.

Delightful, Entertaining, Great singing, Great staging, Fiddler with a new look

See it if If you love Fiddler and want to revisit the characters, the songs and a great cast with new staging.

Don't see it if See it.

Entertaining, Great staging, Resonant, Thought-provoking, Great singing

See it if You want to visit a great revival of another classic musical. It's a great production, with wonderful music and songs, great performances

Don't see it if You don't appreciate revivals of great musicals.

Absorbing, Masterful, Must see, A classic, Great acting

See it if You enjoy a Broadway classic that has lost none of its heft over the years, exquisitely performed.

Don't see it if I can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy it. Go see it!

Disappointing, Overrated, Quirky

See it if you love the musical regardless of the current interpretation of the show

Don't see it if you absolutely loved the original and prior revivals. Scenery, production numbers, some casting and direction were disappointing

Resonant, Must see, Epic, Great acting, Enchanting

See it if Danny B is a terrific Tevye- his performance alone (and his relationships with his daughters) is the reason to see this production.

Don't see it if Skeptics about this old classic will not enjoy the show.

Dated, Great acting

See it if you want to catch Danny Burstein's excellent performance.

Don't see it if you are looking for anything terribly new and exciting.

Dated, Poignant, Relevant, Enchanting

See it if A sentimental large cast big set version of the classic musical with a heavy emphasis on letting your children become independent

Don't see it if A little overworked and sentimental and a lot of caricatures.

Resonant, Classic, Exquisite, Ambitious, Riveting

See it if Danny Burnstein is once again giving a career-defining performance.

Don't see it if Jessica Hecht's lack of singing-voice but full blown children's theatre speaking voice bother you. Or, ya know, you're anti-semetic.

Enchanting, Great acting, Great singing, Great staging, Must see

See it if Love the original...revival is best production. Willing to see past conventional staging. Bernstien!

Don't see it if Anti-semite. Lacking of heart. Expecting to see the original.

Great acting, Entertaining, Delightful, Dated, Great singing

See it if You enjoy wonderful music, dancing and acting, and a story about old Jewish traditions. You will walk out of the theater humming.

Don't see it if You are tired of Broadway revivals and want something fresh and new.

Entertaining, Great acting

See it if you want to see maybe the best Tevye ever (Danny Burstein).

Don't see it if you're more a fan of the daughter characters, since they are very miscast.

Confusing, Disappointing, Resonant, Thought-provoking, Profound

See it if You are a fan of Fiddler. Want to see a show featuring Jewish actors.

Don't see it if You aren't willing to see a lightly different interpretation of fiddler.

Also This was a rather bemusing show for me. I love Fiddler, but from the v... Read more Read less

"The superb new production certainly honors the show’s ebullience of spirit…But as directed by Bartlett Sher with his customary sensitivity, this multihued staging moves to a heart-stopping conclusion.…It’s just a musical, no? Yes, but what a musical. The score enters your bloodstream, indelibly,...
