See it if you are entertained by family sagas. This isn't the most compelling, but there are some standout performances and good laughs sprinkled in.

Don't see it if you want to connect. Like the failing couple at its center, the show seems to have not been listening to itself for a long time.

Also What a disappointment - such talent wasted on a banal, unfunny (I thought so, the audience sure didn't) and frankly offensive play about elderly parents getting divorced and the fall-out it creates for their straight son (married to an Asian woman) and gay son (who has a fling with an Indian guy in a very clunky scene in the first Act): it felt as if the playwright was ticking the boxes with each character for relevance. I'm no prude mind you - but hearing the great Ms. Alexander speak so bluntly about sex was odd and frankly unnecessary. There is a play in here - especially one that starts quietly with one character stating "I want a divorce" - promising start for a play that goes downhill from there. Plus it was odd that James Cromwell's character speaks to the audience at one short point - no other character does that. Don't see it if It is possible you may be triggered by the theme of divorce after a long marriage.

See it if The subject matter is relevant, but portrayed with humor. The cast is excellent and Richard Greenberg's plays always hit home.

Don't see it if If you're in any way prudish and don't use foul language.
