Entertaining, Enchanting, Delightful, Clever, Absorbing

See it if You want to see something that is moving, tragic and optimistic all at the same time. Unforgettable.

Don't see it if You want to see a large scale splashy Broadway musical as this is more about storytelling and songs that are integrated with the dialogue

Great writing, Great staging, Great acting, Must see, Masterful

See it if even though I knew the premise of the show, I still left the theater with eyes full of tears. It was beautiful, in all the ways.

Don't see it if you are expecting a big/flashy musical.

Must see, Great singing, Delightful, Clever, Absorbing

See it if you trust me when I tell you this is the best show currently on Broadway. Great plot, amazing music, and leaves you feeling hopeful.

Don't see it if you want an authentic portrayal of teenagers because I didn't really feel that in the show.

Absorbing, Clever

See it if You like profound subjects, in this case incurable disease, addressed sensitively but with humor and music

Don't see it if You don’t like musicals or plays that confront terminal illness

CRITIC'S PICK "I began to see the character and the show in anagrammatic terms...It’s not about a disease at all, unless it’s the one we all have: We grow up too slowly and then suddenly too fast. We are gone before we know it."

"It still feels intimate, but the larger audience lets the show land big laughs as well as moments of stung collective sympathy, and the performances pop with fresh energy."

" 'Kimberly Akimbo' is now in residence at the Booth Theatre with the original cast and every bit of its wondrous quirkiness intact. In fact, the show is more polished and endearing than before."

"The musical felt like a glimmer of sunlight breaking through the winter of Omicron. In the Broadway run, that sun shines brighter and clearer— the show-choir costumes are shinier."

"It’s a great truth that acting is not so much about people but people in motion...As is the case with Tesori’s roiling score, their work here is kinetic."
