See it if you love musical comedy with great acting & singing & dancing. This show has a message of love & tolerance. Billy Porter was fabulous.

Don't see it if you don't like Broadway musical comedies. If you don't like drag queens in performance, stay home & mope.

See it if you liked the movie and want to see the musical version of it.

Don't see it if You saw Priscilla and liked it. Priscilla was a far better show

See it if You are a fan of the movie or really enjoy the gender identification and equality themes.

Don't see it if You are looking for cerebral plot or score, or are not a fan of gender identification themes. Score is good, but thin, so alot of repeats

See it if you want to see a really entertaining show with great music.

Don't see it if it bothers you to see men in women's clothing.

See it if You want a feel-good musical about beating the odds and overcoming bad parents and bigotry.

Don't see it if You need your script sharp, your music especially tuneful, or your characters less than broad. It has a good heart but isn't well done.

See it if You enjoy musicals similar to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. I loved Priscilla, but not Kinky Boots, but they were in the same genre.
