After a run at the Public Theater, Emmy and Obie winner John Leguizamo brings his hit solo show about the buried history of Latinos in the Americas to Broadway.

Inspired by the near total absence of Latinos in his son’s American history class, Leguizamo embarks on a frenzied search to find a Latin hero for his son’s school project. From a mad recap of the Aztec empire to stories of unknown Latin patriots of the Revolutionary War and beyond, Leguizamo breaks down the 3,000 years between the Mayans and Ricky Ricardo into 100 irreverent and uncensored minutes in his trademark style.

Repetitious, Thought-provoking, Relevant, Slow, Funny

See it if you enjoy humorous monologues. LHFM is often funny, but the backbone history lesson should be more focused. JL is a lively entertainer.

Don't see it if you are offended by unnecessary crudeness. Don't go expecting to learn much; LHFM is mostly for laughs. It w be better in a smaller venue!

See it if Not a history lesson for morons as much as a "book list" for those who don't want to be morons on Latino history. More edifying than funny.

Don't see it if You are expecting a laugh-riot. The premise didn't work for me. The language can be a bit rough as well.
