Entertaining, Delightful, Funny, Great staging, Dated

Dated, Disappointing, Excruciating, Insipid, Slow

See it if You want to see a 3-hour ballet.

Don't see it if You want to see a musical instead of a ballet, or don't have the patience to sit through the slowest 3 hours of your life.

Banal, Disappointing, Fluffy, Insipid, Overrated

See it if You don't have much to do. I wasn't even bored, I was straight up annoyed. Tony Yazbeck was under-used. Only notable was Alysha Umphress.

Don't see it if Most famous number was a throw-away. Set/costumes were boring and weirdly modern. Couldn't see actors staged in the audience 10 ft from me.

Entertaining, Overrated, Fluffy

See it if If you love obnoxiously long ballet numbers and love white-bread classic musicals with hammy acting;

Don't see it if If you're looking for something meaningful that has a much more detailed storyline;

Cliched, Dated, Slow

See it if You don't mind sitting through a lot of boring story to get to the great dancing.

Don't see it if You prefer modern musicals.

Cliched, Banal, Dated, Disappointing, Overrated

See it if You want to see good dancing and don't care about anything else

Don't see it if Lack of plot bothers you

Banal, Disappointing, Overrated, Confusing

See it if you wanna be bored

Don't see it if you wanna be entertained

Disappointing, Overrated, Slow

See it if You like dance numbers - choreography was great but that's about all I enjoyed...

Don't see it if You don't like stagnant, boring plot lines that make very little sense.

Slow, Excruciating, Great singing

See it if You like old time musicals. The music, set and dancing were AMAZING but the story was just so boring

Don't see it if You get bored easily. I can't stand dance heavy shows but for 20$ i figured id give it a show! almost left at intermission!!!

Insipid, Indulgent, Excruciating, Disappointing, Cliched

See it if you have nothing else to do - absolutely nothing. This show is the worst, we walked out. It didn't know what it wanted to be. awful

Don't see it if you enjoy broadway shows, it was awful. It didn't know what it wanted to be -a musical, a comedy, a ballet, or what. we walked out.

Cliched, Dated, Disappointing, Fluffy, Great staging

See it if You like the golden age of Theatre.

Don't see it if If you want to remember the show you paid to see.

Cliched, Dated, Disappointing, Slow, Overrated

See it if you like classics with nothing new added

Don't see it if you don't like chliche' tongue in cheek jokes

Dated, Overrated, Insipid, Banal

See it if You want to waste money on a musical that doesn't have a plot that's moving in the least bit

Don't see it if It's you're first musical because you may be turned off from Broadway forever

Edgy, Disappointing, Overrated

See it if If you want to hear about a soldier's last 24 hours before shipping off

Don't see it if If you want good acting

Cliched, Dated, Boring, Long

See it if ..your grandma and grandpa just landed in town off a cruise ship and want to see a fun show about those crazy New York folks...!

Don't see it if ..someone is not literally dragging you.

Dated, Disappointing, Slow, Overrated, Great staging

See it if You like outdated shows. Some of the dancing was great, but some of the dance numbers seemed to go on forever.

Don't see it if You want to stay awake through the whole show

"And now, a show about sex that you can take the whole family to: the kids, the grandparents, even your sister the nun. That idea may sound kind of creepy, or (worse) dreary. But I assure you that the jubilant revival of “On the Town,” which opened Thursday night at the Lyric Theater, is anything...

"Her Ivy was terrific...Ms. Copeland’s singing voice may be flat, but this is a dancing role, and her Ivy has vulnerability and moxie. She lit up the stage of the Lyric Theater — enough to make you wonder: Is Ms. Copeland’s home on Broadway? Here, she finally looked like a star, more fresh and fr...

"Although it occasionally pushes too hard, John Rando’s production inspires considerable affection...I suspect there will be people who love the torch-carrying spirit of this On the Town, and I wish them, and it, the best. To me, however, it seems a bit like a well-mounted exhibit at some Natural...

"On the Town is a heartbreakingly youthful work: both about youth and by youth. Watching its three sailors pursue a lifetime of adventure while on 24-hour shore leave in New York, New York, you can’t help sensing the shadows of the three giddy pals who knocked the show together in 1944."
