See it if You love Gloria Estefan
Don't see it if You didn't like mama Mia (I find it very mama Mia-esque)
See it if You love Gloria Estefan, Latin music, musicals that aren't entirely all singing; linear plots, love stories, just a good old night out...
Don't see it if I really can't think of anything, except if you hate the above. I saw it alone and had a great time. It was sad to see SO MANY empty seats!
See it if You are a fan of musicals, great singing, dancing, and acting. The music is timeless, and all generations know it.
Don't see it if You like straight drama or comedy with a story only, no music or dancing.

Don't see it if You don't want to jump out of your seat and dance along with all the music.

See it if The Latin band is right on stage and the music is so good, it's hard to be still in your seat. The story is universal, well-told, and moving
Don't see it if I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this musical.
"Smoothly performed by the lithesome company with terrific energy, I wasn’t the only audience member whose shoulders were twitching to shimmy during the dance segments...In the genre of so-called jukebox musicals based on singers and/or popular songs, 'On Your Feet' fares well as a cohesive blend of story-telling via this singer’s pantheon of hits."

"You'll truly want to stand and applaud newcomer Ana Villafane, who makes an astounding Broadway debut as Gloria...Given Villafane’s star-making portrayal and the strength of the Estefan song catalogue, you can’t help but wish she was in a somewhat sturdier vehicle than this one, which too often plays out like a so-so Latin version of 'Beautiful.'"

"'On Your Feet' is as much by-the-numbers as any other Broadway bio or juke box musical, but when the numbers are “1-2-3” – the name of one of Estefan’s many electrifying hits – the average theatergoer will surely find it easier to forgive the formulaic aspects of the show…Here’s the problem: With just one horrendous exception, Gloria Estefan has led a charmed life…It’s a testament to the acting that, for all the calculation evident in the book, a family feeling comes through."

"Audiences will certainly get their money's worth at 'On Your Feet!' if they're enamored of the hot-hot music spread around the globe in tandem by Gloria and hubby Emilio. Director Jerry Mitchell helps deliver what's called for...Few, if any, Estefan idolizers will be disappointed at the inclusions...After a while, though, spectators may come to think the high-powered productions made of them in Esosa's flashy, flashier and flashiest costumes are beginning to weigh down the proceedings."

"A stripped down, concert-style approach might have served 'On Your Feet!' much better. Instead we get Dinelaris’s formulaic book, David Rockwell’s uncharacteristically flimsy sets and Darrel Maloney’s surprisingly ugly projections...The director, Jerry Mitchell, doesn’t have a sure hand for pace or tone here, instead employing a pile of cheaply effective tricks, like trotting out small children and the elderly like so many adorable pets."

"As self-promoting hagiographies go, 'On Your Feet!' makes 'Trump: The Art of the Deal' look downright modest… Sometime before the bus crash, Dinelaris inserts a flashback to Emilio’s childhood where he and his family leave Cuba for Madrid, and his parents then send him off alone to America. It’s possible that starting with his story, instead of Gloria’s, would have given the show more of a dramatic arc.""

"If exuberance were all it took to make a Broadway musical a winner, this jukebox bio-musical about Gloria and Emilio Estefan would make the grade...Unfortunately, all the show’s strengths are largely undone by a lame book. Its weaknesses are less apparent during the lively first act, but become increasingly problematic during the weak second act...Go for the music and the dancing and try to ignore the book."

"It’s true that said old hits will lodge themselves into your head for hours (perhaps even days), but you’ll be forgiven for not remembering much else about the show…The book has moments of enjoyable humor, and sometimes speaks with a knowing tone that counteracts the Estefans’ uniformly cheesy lyrics…While Gloria and Emilio’s on-stage relationship is actually rather sweet, they are not real characters…It’s just not all that interesting."
