See it if You enjoy good musicals and enjoy Latin music. If you loved Beautiful (it was great), you will love On Your Feet. Great story of their lives
Don't see it if You don't like musicals
See it if Like, salsa, merengue, flamingo, Spanish dancers. A lot of energy, by all the performers, especially like the kids dancing. Majestic, magic.

See it if You like salsa music/dancing! Some of the most fun that I have EVER had in a theatre. Great date show or girls' night out show.

See it if This is just a delightful old fashioned Broadway musical. The Estefan family should be proud of the way they are depicted in this show

"Sadly, the broad, obvious strokes used by librettist Alexander Dinelaris prove not so appealing…'On Your Feet' is saddled, for starters, with a less rich catalog…Certainly, no one would begrudge this likable, admirable pop veteran a happy ending. Still, 'On Your Feet' is recommended only to the most diehard of fans."

What Broadway's newest entry in our unofficial personal-history-of-pop-music series has are lots of much-loved Grammy-winning songs…The problem is the by-the-numbers story...The book by Alexander Dinelaris has virtually no crises or conflicts that last long enough to drive the tension beyond the next song."

"'On Your Feet' begins so confidently, you get excited. It's frothy, fun and as the songs pile up, you realize that you recognize a lot more of them than you thought...Unfortunately, there's also an act two...Leave after the first act and you'll recommend 'On Your Feet' to undemanding theater-goers looking for some harmless fun. Stay for the whole show and you'll probably go home to buy Estefan's greatest hits. But recommend the musical? Probably not."

"The show will likely be much more captivating for big Gloria Estefan fans…Meaningful drama is in short supply…Despite its unenthralling dramatics, the show does have an underlying warmth, in showing the closeness and caring of a family across generations, and also a sympathetic, good-natured marital relationship. "'On Your Feet!' is uneven and occasionally long-winded. It’s also sometimes inspiring and uplifting…Dinelaris’s book does some unnecessary pandering…The finale has the ensemble performing a glittery mash-up of 'Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,' “Turn the Beat Around” and others. In that spot, at least, “On Your Feet!” rivals top-notch jukebox musicals. 'On Your Feet!' isn’t quite 'Jersey Boys,' but in places, the rhythm is gonna get you."

"Alexander Dinelaris’ deftly written script and Jerry Mitchell’s wonderfully inventive direction pretty much overcome the by-the-numbers feel and laboured approach than can afflict biographical jukebox musicals. And even if they didn’t, the plentitude of rousing musical numbers, with Sergio Trujillo’s lusty choreography taking hip-swivelling to new levels of achievement, would certainly be enough to justify this show…A great – even inspiring – entertainment."
