Roundabout Theatre Company presents a revival of the Tony Award-winning musical about two clerks who argue endlessly, while unknowingly writing loving letters to each other as anonymous pen pals. More…
Amalia (Tony winner Laura Benanti) and Georg (Zachary Levi) work together at a modest parfumerie, and have disliked each other from the start. He thinks she’s stuck up, and she thinks he’s arrogant and mean. Yet each writes rapturously to a lonely hearts pen pal when the work day is done, and it doesn’t take long for the audience to see that they’re in love without realizing it. Little do they know the anonymous pen pals they have both been falling for happen to be each other! Will love continue to blossom once their identities are finally revealed?
