Don't see it if It's more of an operetta format so much of the scenes are "sung through". The recurring soprano vibrato ballads can be tedious & grating.

See it if you like a good old fashioned musical.

Don't see it if you like a musical with a huge cast and a lot of big production numbers.

See it if You want to catch a visually gorgeous production of a gem of an old-fashioned musical with effortless acting across the board.

Don't see it if You want something particularly fresh or with dark shadows or hate familiar material (even when done beautifully).

See it if you want to see top stars at their peak

Don't see it if you have a problem with somewhat dated, predictable material

See it if I loved it! I had a smile on my face from start to finish.

Don't see it if You don't like good old fashion romantic musicals

See it if You like old fashioned musicals with great performers like Benanti and Krakowski, a great set, and can use a vacation from 21st c. vulgarity

Don't see it if You don't like musicals, romance, escapism, wonderful singing in a great vehicle. I know it's closed....just had to give it its due.

See it if You are a fan of romantic story telling, fantastic performances & a gorgeous set! This revival is very well done!

See it if Such a charming show with a truly wonderful score. This is a nice enough production though the Georg is a bit of a dufus. On the whole +++.

Don't see it if you don't enjoy old fashioned, twisted love stories. But who wouldn't love this score?

See it if You love Jane Krakowski, love musicals no matter how dull and plodding at times, don't mind songs that mostly sound the same as each other.

Don't see it if You expect a riviting, fast paced musical with a score to remember.

See it if You're excited for Laura Benanti and Jane Krakowski.

See it if you enjoy song driven, old fashioned musicals with great charactery performances. Love the jewel box set. Enjoy sweet romance.

Don't see it if Like your musicals with big splashy dance numbers and big chorus numbers. You Like contemporary musicals - this has some operatic overtones

See it if you like your musicals cute but really, really dated & predictable, or if you're easily seduced by seeing television stars on stage.

Don't see it if you're looking for something contemporary & original, or really profound. You'll be rolling your eyes a lot.

Also I didn't know anything about the show going into it (I know...sacrilege) & I was really unimpressed. I've seen the story a million times, none of the songs stood out to me, I found it to be full of stock characters, etc. I actually left at intermission.

Friends thought I was crazy so I actually returned for a second visit. I stayed the whole time this time. But I still hated it. (At least the second act was slightly better.)

See it if you want to see the source for 'The Shop Around the Corner' & 'You've Got Mail', delightful characters, & a romance.

Don't see it if you want a heavy plot, dislike high soprano songs, or want a new story.

See it if You have until July 10th to see the Revival that pushes the Romantic Comedy genre to its Charming BEST!! Perfect cast from Top to Bottom!!

Don't see it if If U find Charm off-putting and the talents of Benanti-Krakowski-Levi-Creel to be overblown then U really don't deserve Musical Theater??

See it if you want to smile from first note to final bow, with one exception. Beautifully staged & designed. Every cast member gets to shine.

Don't see it if you can't get over how the crassly staged Romantic Atmosphere kills the romantic atmosphere or prize only cutting edge work.

See it if You like FUN. It's fluffy in the best way. Cast rocks it across the board. Great example of a classic broadway romance. Levi is way too cute

Don't see it if You're looking for modern. It's not, but it's not trying to be either. You want massive depth. You insist on knowing a lot of songs before.

See it if You want to see a wonderful cast. There really is not a weak link among them. The show is a little dated, but overall a nice production.

Don't see it if You don't like classic musicals.

See it if Charming show with wonderful singing by Laura Benanti. Zach Levi a revelation. You go out smiling and wanting vanilla ice cream.

See it if you want to have your pants charmed off by Zachary Levi et al, you loved "You've Got Mail" or "The Shop Around the Corner"

See it if You wonder why the set designer won a Tony. Stunning. The acting is deliberately over-the-top, to amusing effect.

Don't see it if Quirky, hate-becomes-love romance stories make you gag. Or if you really need or want a surprise ending.

See it if you enjoy old-fashioned love stories with great singing and lovely staging. Also, Jane K was hilarious!

Don't see it if you prefer stories with a more modern feel.
