The comedic and heart-wrenching off-Broadway hit transfers to Broadway. Make a date with Jordan (Gideon Glick) as he navigates friendship and courtship as a terminal single in New York City More…
All of Jordan Berman’s best friends are setting a date…and he can’t even get one. Now when he needs brunch plans, emergency dating advice, or just someone to commiserate and eat carbs with, he has to compete for attention with their new significant others. Of course he’s so happy for them, but Jordan is struggling to keep up with how fast everyone else is changing. Starring most of the original Off-Broadway cast.
See it if Harmon's clever look at millennial relationships veers between insightful to glib Good ensemble work around Glick's hyper lead performance
Don't see it if Glick works tirelessly to find sympathy in Jordan's overactive, neurotic self-centeredrness but ultimately fails or was that Harmon's point?
See it if you like a show about relationships and their impact on friends.
Don't see it if you are impatient in watching a play come together with a strong message.
See it if you are 20 something dreading being single when you are 30 something. Clever staging allows quick cut movie-style story telling.
Don't see it if you have a fully rounded life. These characters have limited their life choices to romantic partnership or death.
See it if Very entertaining and poignant show. All the actors were excellent. Barbara Barrie was fantastic and very memorable. a treat to see her.
Don't see it if If the romantic problems of people in their 20s don't interest you. (however, It was very funny and worth seeing.)
See it if you enjoy plays about relationships, especifically single women and/or gay men and friendships.
Don't see it if you are not into examining singlehood and related friendships or prefer more serious plays.
See it if you'd enjoy a well-acted if frenetic show about singlehood and couplehood, and how the two co-exist (or don't) within friendships.
Don't see it if you're sick to death of the tropes of people needing a romance to complete them, and gay characters being terminally lonely/tragic.
See it if You like stories about lonely guy who feels isolated while friends have relationships. Glick masterful performance. Treat to see B Barrie.
Don't see it if You don't want to see gay guy as main character. (Although could be anyone who is lonely). First act screechy girls; not good.
See it if seeking a contemporary drama rooted in the lives of 20-to-30-somethings, their loves, hardships, and personal lives. The cast feels natural.
Don't see it if you want a classic, thought-provoking drama that'll leave you on the edge of your seat. There are dark-comedy moments (suicide/depression).
See it if you have a pulse. This heart-breaking & very funny script will keep you talking for days. DO NOT see it alone. G Glick deserves a Tony nod.
Don't see it if big iconic musicals or old classic plays are your thing. It's warm, touching, refreshing - albeit a bit millennial - but totally relevant.
See it if You enjoy great ensemble acting, with a terrific lead performance by Gideon Glick. I saw the play at the Pels and enjoyed this just as much.
Don't see it if You don't want to be thoroughly entertained. Everyone can relate to the humanity of the characters. It wil make you laugh and cry.
See it if Friendship, love relationships, support, growing up. How do friendships fair when :relationships: appear? straight or gay, same issues.

Don't see it if You expect a traditional musical, or if you are not interested in a play about friendships/relationships.
See it if you are looking for a very "current" show. The show is very relevant to anyone who has come of age and has been heart sick

See it if you enjoy well written, well played dramedy by an excellent cast.
Don't see it if you dislike plays with a bit of humor based on modern life situations of young adults.
See it if Superb cast; Barbara Barrie needs to be everyone's grandma; artful construction and character arcs of main and lead supporting characters
Don't see it if Appreciated play more after seeing at earlier Pels run but still represents the shrill and bitchy kind of show that turns me off
See it if you enjoy shows about the real problems in the young dating scene, both hetero & gay.
Don't see it if you don't enjoy topics about gay dating and sex. You want a real musical not just a show with music.
See it if You are a NYer. We can all relate. to the struggle with loneliness and wanting someone in our lives who loves us and cares about us.
Don't see it if You are a tourist looking for a musical. Otherwise, see it.

Don't see it if the women are near-caricatures, and the protagonist is self-pitying.
See it if If you are interested in an ensemble cast & plot about friendships and how they evolve/arrest as people begin to get married and reproduce
Don't see it if It had some funny moments and some drama... my overall takeaway was that it was a nice change from the standard Broadway storylines
See it if for sure if you've ever felt like the last single person at a party, but also just for a pitch-perfect ensemble in a very funny, lovely play
Don't see it if You need something that feels deeply serious or thematically grandiose. It's an intimate play that runs like a near-perfect sitcom.
See it if you are a millennial who is wrapped up in yourself or want to see a powerhouse performance by Gideon Glick
Don't see it if you are looking for anything deep or that will stay with you; also wouldn't recommend paying full price
See it if You like comedies that are also serious and thought provoking. Beautifully acted and staged.
Don't see it if You don't like plays dealing with relationships and finding love.
