Enchanting, Great staging, Absorbing

See it if you love a beautiful production of a good old fashioned R&H musical. Hear score with a full orchestra. Beautiful singing and staging.

Don't see it if think a musical about social culture of the WWII era is dated. If you don't like beautiful melodies, and a well-sung score don't go.

Ambitious, Entertaining, Epic, Slow, Romantic

See it if You love Rodgers & Hammerstein and want to see a lavish production of one of their works.

Don't see it if You're not a fan of this show. It can be kind of tedious.

Dated, Intelligent

See it if You like the classics, but be careful; the production will depend on how it has been "modernized." Lincoln Center version missed the mark.

Don't see it if You are not impressed by the classics.

Dated, Great acting, Resonant, Paulo szot, Great singing

See it if 5 extra points went to Szot's voice. O'Hara, Burnstein, and this classic music are all great, but Paulo easily steals the show. Fantastic.

Don't see it if You're not a Rogers and Hammerstein fan. You're looking for modern theatre. This is the well-done classic everyone should see at least once.

Fluffy, Entertaining, Great staging

See it if You enjoy old school musical theatre and classic showtunes.

Don't see it if You don't enjoy Rodgers & Hammerstein. Some difficult subject matter re racism.

Lush, Classic, Romantic, Dated

See it if You love the classics. This production was beautiful, lush and masterful.

Don't see it if You're not ready to confront somewhat racist/offensive themes and stereotypes from the times.
