See it if you are a Bruce fan; you'll be enchanted. He sings, plays (guitar, piano, harmonica), tells his story. His gravel-y voice will thrill you.

Don't see it if you aren't a fan. You won't enjoy off-key duets w Patty. At least he loves his mother. And urges resistance (altho via dancing?) Not for me.

See it if You’re a fan of The Boss or to experience an intimate soul touching night of storytelling that reminds us of how important our roots are.

Don't see it if I can’t imagine that anyone would not get something from this extraordinary show.

See it if Bruce opens a vein. The audience is lucky enough to peer behind the curtain at a rare moment of intimacy. True stage artistry.

Don't see it if Was this man born on the stage? His vulnerability might make you look away.

See it if in 1st half Bruce, self-aware & wry, uses stripped down songs & poetic musings 2 movingly tell his origin story; a total knockout

Don't see it if in 2nd half show becomes mostly a concert, not my preference; still can appreciate S-steen's raw power and charisma

Also Attended this by winning the lottery. Seats were in last row of mezzanine, high up but with good sight lines and excellent sound quality since stage was miked for a rock concert. Even if, like me, you don't love Springsteen's songs, you may find that in his late 60s he continues to be a remarkably strong and compelling performer, particularly in a small theater setting.... Read more Read less

See it if I was surprised by how good it was. I actually hadn't expected it to be such an intense theatrical experience.

Don't see it if you don't like Bruce Springsteen or don't want to pay ridiculous prices for the tickets.

Also He was on stage for almost three hours, no intermission. I was never bored, riveted the whole way through. Many poignant stories about his family.
I have been a fan for decades. I don't know how the show would be for someone who was not a fan. I think they would enjoy the show and might become a fan, but I think some of the resonance and excitement is in seeing Bruce Springsteen in this intimate setting and story-telling mode.... Read more Read less

See it if you are a fan of the Boss.His stories are fascinating.He is the consummate performer.2 1/2 hours without a break is hard on the audience.

Don't see it if you aren't into Bruce or can't sit still for that long.As much as I enjoyed it, I was squirming after 1 1/2 hours, as were my companions.

See it if you can get a ticket, & read his book first. Some sections of the show, including the opening, are direct quotes. The Boss still has it!

Don't see it if you're not a Springsteen fan and don't want to spend the $. It was an unforgettable evening.

See it if Bruce remains an engaging performer. Loved the stories about his life, and the new interpretations of old favorites.

See it if seeking a different Broadway experience combining intelligent, earnest, and funny self-reflection with occasional songs to enhance emotion.

Don't see it if you won’t enjoy the premise of a one-man monologue-cum-acoustic concert; dislike Springsteen’s music immensely; expecting bells-&-whistles.

Also I went into Springsteen on Broadway an occasional listener to Bruce Springsteen’s music and left with a greater appreciation of the artist behind it. He is humorous, humble, and honest. The last hour lost a bit of luster when he grew didactic & political: some of the language lost humor, poetry, and finesse of (ironically) practiced spontaneity. The show soars when storytelling is frank and so working-class America the set may as well have been painted red, white, and blue. Wife Patti Scialfa joined for a couple of songs and while not the strongest element, Springsteen’s desire to connect his life and inspiration with the audience was earnest. Fortunately, I won the show’s lottery—otherwise, I couldn’t have seen this show (due to sold-out and, when available, tickets that are costly). Even casual Springsteen fans will appreciate the approach here. Note: According to Walter Kerr Theatre ushers, each evening depends upon how Springsteen feels. Don't see it if You don’t like him. Nothing is going to change the fact that his is him, intimate, with little musical accompaniment. It is what it is.

See it if Rapt captive audience is treated to a memoir retrospective of Bruce's earliest days along with acoustic versions of his greatest hits

Don't see it if 2.5 hours without intermission requires restroom strategy for many; TSA-like security necessitates arriving earlier than typical 30 min

See it if You want a phenomenal performance of a great musical. It'sa great concert, a great show, fascinating study of a brilliantly creative artist.

Don't see it if You only like old fashioned traditional musicals

See it if You're a die-hard Springsteen fan. He serves up an array of his songs from across the decades in stripped down glory.

Don't see it if You're not a longtime fan. Not knowing his whole catalog, I found the nostalgic take on the material more interesting than exciting.

Also This is a tough one for me to score. I went somewhere higher than how I felt as a casual observer of Springsteen but lower than I feel like I SHOULD have gone, if that makes sense. He's a tremendous talent, and there's a fascinating melancholy here, but I found my attention drifting even as I admired what he was attempting. I understand why deep-rooted fans adore it, but I found myself wishing I had waited until he did another big concert to pay the money to see him. See it if you're a devout Bruce fan & you can afford (or at least justify) the cost. It's a riveting & intimate autobiographical show. Deeply poetic.

Don't see it if you're expecting a 3.5 hour stadium show with the E Street Band. This is a stripped performance with as much monologue as there is music.

Also Don't expect a greatest hits rundown. This is a show about a life's journey & growing older. He intersperses it with songs from his career to fit that moment in time. All in all it was an extremely memorable night at the theater. If you're a true Bruce Springsteen fan this show is a real treat. See it if it’s interesting and special to watch a rock star perform in such an intimate setting. Decent writing and powerful singing.

Don't see it if uneven narrative after an hour of childhood memories jumps between adulthood, marriage, political views... Didn’t like Patti’s performance.

See it if You're a Bruce fan. If you're predisposed to love him, the you'll be gaga over this intimate performance.

Don't see it if You don't already love Bruce. As a casual listener, I found his stories overly sentimental. Some songs suffered without full band backup.

See it if You LOVE Bruce. I do (seen 30+ shows) and I am very glad I saw it. He's a master storyteller and his music speaks to my soul.

Don't see it if You have to spend an arm and a leg. This isn't an E Street show. It's a really solid one man show by a legend.

Also People (especially crazy Boss fans) are calling this life changing, spiritual. I am a crazy Bruce fan and did not quite get that. Lots of excerpts from the audiobook, some awesome acoustic interpretations of many of his great songs (Dancing in the Dark + The Rising acoustic really special), true story arc, totally enjoyable evening - but didn't rock me to my core like an E Street Band show. Also - people in the audience talking and using their cell phones are the WORST. Lady next to me checked her bright phone at the end of every song.STOP!!
