Sweeney Todd, whose real name is Benjamin Barker, uses his new alias to resume work in his barber shop above Mrs. Lovett’s struggling pie shop after being wrongfully sentenced to life imprisonment by the corrupt Judge Turpin. After swearing vengeance against the judge that tore his family apart, Todd and Lovett plot a unique plan that helps them both and leads them down a dangerous, thrilling path with deadly consequences.
See it if If your a fan of Sweeney Todd. This was such a unique production and very intimate.

See it if - you like the musical - you want to be impressed at the staging of a Bwy caliber musical in an intimate space
Don't see it if - you think you might need to step out to the restroom. You wont be readmitted til intermission. - you object to portrayal of violence
See it if You love clever songs, incredible staging and a bit of mystery and intrigue. And you love pie!
Don't see it if You don't like a little blood and murder with your musicals.
See it if You are a fan of Sondheim's "horror opera". The usually massive cast is pared down to 8 performers. So glad I didn't miss this one.
Don't see it if You have no interest in seeing a musical about a murderous vengeful barber and meat pies made from his victims.
See it if You want to be basically part of the show. You feel so involved with it being immersive. Great great singing

See it if You're already familiar with the story of Sweeney Todd. The set was custom made for this production, and it was fantastic.
Don't see it if You're looking for depth in character development. There wasn't enough time to explore the full personalities of the characters.
See it if you want to sample Mrs Lovett's meat pies, savory and sweet pies (just don't ask where she got the meat).
Don't see it if you're freaked out by blood, murder, cannibalism, or lots of clever rhymes.
See it if You know the music and like the show already. Some great singing.
Don't see it if You can't handle blood. Great singing, but I didn't love the acting in this production.

See it if You like authentic surroundings and staging, if you like non-traditional seating, if you like being in 'spitting distance' to the action.

See it if You appreciate amazing cast interaction, dark stories, and being immersed in story.
Don't see it if You need a happy ending, don't like death/gore, or don't like small theatres.
See it if You like being involved in a show. You don't mind actors walking on tables in front of you. You like musicals.
Don't see it if You're uncomfortable with interactive theatre. You don't like stories about love and murder.
See it if Sondheim, oh Sondheim what would we do without you? If you love his work you need to see this. I hope to see it live soon, movie was great!
