Also The Lightning Thief musical is somehow really bland. I was a huge nerd for the books and even liked the movies to a certain extent despite the several flaws. Unfortunately I found it hard to stay engaged during this show. The music feels like another copy of other teen musicals like ‘Be More Chill’ or “Heathers’, it’s very forgettable and kinda drags along, I’d almost prefer to see this show without any musical numbers. It’s heaps above ‘Be More Chill’ but it’s also not up to the level of say, ‘Mean Girls’.
