Now in its seventeenth year on Broadway, this all-ages musical spectacle tells the untold true story of the Witches of Oz. More…
"Wicked" looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”
See it if If leagaly blond crashed in to OZ you would have Wicked. Tween teen friendly. Great sets & coustumes. Fun songs. Book so so. Very dated now
Don't see it if You want a riveting story line
See it if you love a big story with sumptuous costumes and sets; if you love a good power ballad belted to the rafters
Don't see it if you aren't in the mood for a big, showy, splashy Broadway Musical
See it if You don't see a lot of theater, prefer lighter fare, and felt like an outcast in high school.
Don't see it if You value original stories, prefer something a bit more out of theater, and tend not to go with the hype
See it if You like Broadway 'bells & whistles'. Very entertaining. You are probably familiar with some of the more popular songs in the score.
Don't see it if Big and splashy is not your thing.
See it if You like musicals with heart and relatable characters and plot twists
Don't see it if You hate The Wizard of Oz and can't stand to watch cliched theater
See it if you want to see one of the best musicals ever. It will be on Broadway forever. A close to perfect show. Great music and a powerful.
Don't see it if You do not like musicals
See it if You want to pretend you are being daring but actually seeing about as conventional Broadway musical as they come.
Don't see it if You are expecting real innovation.
See it if you must see this Broadway classic - if you haven't why not?! It's charming, it's delightful, it's utterly wickedly brilliant
Don't see it if you really disliked the Wizard of Oz (who are you?!) but even so, this show will give you plenty to enjoy
See it if You love great sung ballads, humor and a twist on classics with great stage presence.
Don't see it if You don't like the wicked witch of the west or good broadway shows.
See it if you like Wizard of Oz and want to know the backstory.
Don't see it if you are annoyed by filler. Half the score is amazing, but the other half is really bland. I would recommend this if they cut 30 mins.
See it if Complex female protagonists, portrayed by wonderfully talented leads. Spectacular staging. Catchy tunes.
Don't see it if choreography and costume design could look tacky and overblown at times. the show mainly rewards movie/Oz fans. felt a little too long.
See it if You enjoy being swept away by clever songs, amazing costumes, and lots of fantasy. There are a few 'nods' to the original Wizard of Oz.
Don't see it if You're expecting to see The Wizard of Oz! This is the prequel, and the songs are nothing like the movie.
