See it if You're a "sondheimite" or a Follies Fan...AMAZING direction/acting/singing/staging/costumes/lighting-Basically it's EVERYTHING it should be
Don't see it if you cant sit thru the 2.5 hour movie without taking a break - there is no "interval"
See it if you want to see the most Gorgeously conceived production of Follies imaginable; lush, dark, and beautiful. What a gift that it's preserved!
Don't see it if you hate Follies, or Sondheim. But this production is definitely worth giving a chance. You certainly won't find another of this caliber!
See it if you missed the London NT 2017 production; this prod makes the midlife-crisis plot clearer than others, restores some glitz of original.
Don't see it if Didn't care for Stauton (kept wanting B Cook), liked Dee. Lack of intermission takes toll on your butt.
Also Great songs are the reason to see any production of Follies.
See it if you are a Sondheim fan who enjoys a touching musical about beauty queens from the 30's and '40's who reminisce about their lives.
Don't see it if you prefer a linear story with rap music and modern dance. There is a lot going on although it is slow-moving at times.
