Confusing, Dated

See it if You enjoyed the movie and wanted to see this on stage

Don't see it if You cringe easily and hate cliches

Dated, Cliched, Banal

See it if you want a big (no pun intended) budget remake of a great film, set to some simple pop songs.

Don't see it if you want a show that feels like it has a soul, this feels vapid and empty and it’s safe to say the source material hasn’t aged well either.

Romantic, Funny, Entertaining, Movie, Clever set

See it if You love the film , fun upbeat songs and plenty of flashy set to keep your eyes pleased.

Don't see it if Your a hardcore fan of the film as some key moments are missed out and changed with a lot of other bits added in extra.

If you were a fan of Kimberley Walsh and Jay McGuiness on Strictly you’ll be cheering them on too...It lacks genuine stardust, but it ticks enough boxes.

The score, with music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard Maltby, is tuneful if occasionally on the bland side; but mostly this is a surprising delight.

Big contains much to like although it would probably be easier to discover its considerable charms in a more intimate venue than the massive Dominion.

Why does it feel like we’ve been here before? Let me count the ways: the zillionth beloved-film-to-banal-musical adaptation the West End has seen, Big belittles its source material and turns endearing quirk into generic mush.
