Clever, Great writing, Dizzying, Thought-provoking, Entertaining

See it if you have enjoyed other Eric Tucker-helmed shows, you like ensemble pieces, you dig literary adaptations, you're feeling fiery & feminist!

Don't see it if you expect a repeat of Sense & Sensibility. This is not a "fun" story. This play has many sharp edges. It is incredibly well written & acted

Absorbing, Delightful, Hilarious, Heartful, Inspiring

See it if you love the Shackleton story, live music, electric violin, Thrilling Adventure Hour, epics, silliness, and joy. It will do your heart good!

Don't see it if you like your theater to be serious and you hate experiments or nonsensical things. This is full of *play* - gotta be in the mood for fun!

Great staging, Original, Intelligent

See it if you love physics! Very good adaptation. Really impressive ensemble work here and incredible use of space. (Don't sit in limited view seats!)

Don't see it if you like to keep things literal and realistic.

Relevant, Thought-provoking, Funny

See it if you love classical drama, gorgeous design, great acting, beautiful direction, and creative ensemble work! A must-see production.

Don't see it if you have triggers regarding violence against women.

Clever, Hilarious, Great writing, Original, Entertaining

See it if you want to laugh! I knew the music but nothing compares to seeing it live. So much of the joy is in the staging. Irreverent & delightful!

Don't see it if you like to keep things PG or you don't like puppets. It can be raunchy (not my style), but was so funny I didn't care. A silly show.

Must see, Absorbing, Delightful, Funny, Great staging

See it if you love a big Broadway musical. There is so much magic to Wicked and the staging is truly astonishing. Everyone should see at least once!

Don't see it if you hate musicals or you're *extremely* dedicated to the book. The musical is quite different in terms of story & tone.

Great acting, Must see, Electric, Gorgeous, Grand

See it if you love Glenn Close & great acting. The whole ensemble is wonderful, but Glenn as Norma is beyond. The costume design is breath-taking!

Don't see it if you don't like Andrew Lloyd Weber or you're expecting a huge set. This is quite stripped down, but the music & performances are stunning.

Perfect Crime

Confusing, Excruciating, Slow

See it if you don't mind a convoluted story & yelling. This play has potential to be hilarious, but the creative team takes it too seriously.

Don't see it if you have a low pain threshold.

Delightful, Hilarious, Original

See it if you love Roald Dahl, creativity, and FUN. The kids in this show are incredible, the design is a blast. One of my fav OBCRs in recent years.

Don't see it if you're a cynic.

Midtown W
Absorbing, Hilarious, Heartfelt

See it if you go to the theatre to be taken out of yourself, to laugh and cry, to be entertained, to think. This show was overwhelming; so glad I saw!

Don't see it if you find family tension unbearable.

Something Rotten!

Clever, Entertaining, Great acting, Hilarious, Refreshing

See it if you love theatre! This show is a love song to musical theatre and will have you howling. It felt like a party, beginning to end. Great!

Don't see it if you're precious about Shakespeare or in the mood for something exceedingly original. This is a classic romp.

West Village
Absorbing, Delightful, Romantic, Intelligent, Hilarious

See it if you love Jane Austen and tour-de-force performances. A small cast takes on a lot of characters with ingenuity and cleverness. Funny & sweet.

Don't see it if you're a cynic or hate period drama. The play is quite British but also very modern. Not your cup of tea if you're overly tied to tradition.
