If you like this person's taste, follow him or her!
See it if You enjoy cute, romantic stories with humor interspersed throughout, and/or you love Phillipa Soo.
Don't see it if You want an emotionally hard-hitting, angsty, and/or realist show.
Also Full disclosure: I have not seen the film.
See it if You love a mix of raw emotion and humor that explores how a family is intertwined with its country over generations.
Don't see it if You don't speak any Spanish (although there are optional subtitles, but the more you understand, the more you get out of it.)
See it if You are a fan of one of the many big names in the show *cough* Nathan Lane *cough*
Don't see it if You don't like jokes regarding race, gender, etc that were...funnier in the 1920s than they are today.
See it if You love Gershwin music, romance, and ballet (with a jazzy, Jerome Robbins-esque flair.)
Don't see it if You're looking for a deeply profound, life altering performance.
See it if You enjoy complicated family dynamics, have a basic understanding of c.2000 politics, and are interested in Jewish culture/identity.
Don't see it if You want a light, escapist show (although there is comic relief).
See it if You enjoy cathartic tears, intimate, contemporary staging, Ben Platt baring his soul to you, & a level of deep healing that I can't explain.
Don't see it if Trigger warning: suicide. However, this show is extremely healing re: suicidal thoughts, or anyone who has ever felt alone (in my opinion).
See it if You are familiar with Hamilton, its cast, and numerous other Broadway musicals/stars.
Don't see it if You are new to theatre or can't stand to hear Hamilton criticized.
