Original, Resonant, Great staging, Absorbing, Entertaining

See it if You are a fan of design, playwrighting, math, fantasy and theater as a means to convey fantastic storytelling.

Don't see it if You are Terry Teachout of the WSJ, the only dissenter out of countless positive reviews for this acclaimed show around the world.

Absorbing, Delightful, Funny, Great staging, Must see

See it if You love a classic romance story topped with phenomenal performances (comedianne Jane Krakowski is great, Laura Benanti is always brilliant)

Don't see it if You want to see an edgy show. This is pure fluff which is in itself rare and controversial these days in theater. Just sit back and enjoy

Tuck Everlasting

Resonant, Enchanting, Absorbing, Romantic, Entertaining

See it if You love seeing, great talented kids on Broadway along with great dancing and don't mind performances that leave you with a tear in the eye.

Don't see it if You don't like seeing kids sing and dance on Broadway, or if you're not a fan of the book Tuck Everlasting.

Funny, Masterful, Refreshing, Must see, Entertaining

See it if You love Bill Irwin (a National Treasure) and physical comedy. I was actually brought on stage to play with Shiner/Irwin, dream come true!

Don't see it if You don't appreciated classic clown/commedia/vaudeville humor.

Something Rotten!

Funny, Refreshing, Clever, Quirky, Original

See it if You like or don't like Shakespeare, you'll appreciate your knowledge or lack thereof when it's all over. Go for big laughs, and hammy actors

Don't see it if You can't make through 2.5 hours run time of a show, or if actors who don't speak Shaekespeare in perfect English accents drive you crazy.

10 out of 12
Ambitious, Clever, Original, Refreshing, Intelligent

See it if You've ever worked on a play in any capacity or curious re: "the process" of theatre. This is Theatre as act of production and of obligation

Don't see it if You don't care about the meta or behind the scenes aspects of theatre, and want a more clear-cut beginning, middle and end.

Hand to God

Funny, Raunchy, Refreshing, Masterful, Entertaining

See it if You love or you think you know puppet shows, 'cause this is not your grandaddy's puppet show. Incredible, masterful work by entire cast.

Don't see it if You are under 17. Seriously. Or if you are easily terrified by shocking theatrical effects.

Funny, Fluffy, Refreshing, Entertaining, Delightful

See it if Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Fierstein, "Drag Racing" and British accents make you even the least bit entrigued. If so, it'll top your expectations.

Don't see it if You are looking for a complicated plot or plot twists, or if the thought of any of the topics listed above turn you right off.

Delightful, Must see, Original, Absorbing, Ambitious

See it if You love dancing, puppetry and spectacle. The broadway cast creates a story 10x more beautiful and powerful than its Disney film-version

Don't see it if You can't sit through an entire show. You won't want to miss any moment of this spectacular theatrical experience.

Entertaining, Must see, Original, Refreshing, Resonant

See it if You loved HAMILTON (or can't get in to see HAMILTON) and want to see the show that put Lin Manuel Miranda and Washington Heights on the map.

Don't see it if You have an aversion to Salsa, Ragaton, Hiphop, R&B, Meringue or you know, music in general. This story should sing for everyone, incl you.

Ambitious, Clever, Funny, Great staging, Refreshing

See it if You want to see a refreshing new spin on a classic (controversial) shakepearian play. Talented actors and an all female cast! Laughs galore.

Don't see it if You are not ready for change or are a Donald Trump supporter.

Great staging, Great writing, Must see, Thought-provoking, Profound

See it if You are drawn to Tony winning shows. Michael Cerveris is superb and the storytelling, staging and ensemble performance is captivating.

Don't see it if You are opposed to dramas and gripping subject matter.

Delightful, Great acting, Entertaining, Refreshing, Resonant

See it if You love or have never seen this classic show. The acting is great but the dancing really carries the performance.

Don't see it if You can only get rear mezz tickets. The staging is unique but much of it occurs extremely far downstage and cannot be seen from far away.

Clever, Entertaining, Hilarious, Refreshing, Ambitious

See it if You love commedia or have never seen commedia and love artichoke pizza and no holds barred wackiness. This is a funny fast-paced romp.

Don't see it if You don't like pizza or if you think PG-13 is as risqué as you are willing to go. Leave the kids at home for this one.

Delightful, Funny, Great acting, Masterful, Refreshing

See it if You want to see hilarious, physical acting from the brilliant Bryce Pinkham and the incomparable Jefferson Mays.

Don't see it if Subtlety is your thing. This is outrageous, eye-catching and over-the-top theatre.

On The Town

Slow, Great staging, Ambitious, Enchanting, Entertaining

See it if You love the classic story, and want to revisit this Broadway beauty, or if you have only seen the movie and want to see wonderful dancing.

Don't see it if You dislike the 2nd act "lull" of the classic Broadway structure, or if you only came to hear "New York, New York," which is in first 5 min.

Edgy, Intense, Relevant, Original, Must see

See it if You are a fan of Alice Ripley or want to see one of the strongest original female characters created for musical theater in the 21st Century

Don't see it if Strong Language, stories of severe depression, drug use and death are too disturbing for you to digest.

Enchanting, Romantic, Masterful, Delightful, Must see

See it if You love Carol King or classic music from the 60s and 70s. This show attaches faces and voices to the geniuses of American songwriting.

Don't see it if You don't find Carol King's and her contemporaries' music intoxicating and enduring.

King Charles III
Midtown W
Masterful, Intelligent, Great writing, Thought-provoking, Must see

See it if You want to see a new Shakespearean play (written in blank verse!) and if you are a fan of the Royals and their unique yet universal drama.

Don't see it if If you like fights with fists, not words, or if you if don't appreciate award-winning West-End productions.

Avenue Q (NYC)

Funny, Original, Great writing

See it if You loved Seasame Street as a kid, and if you ever experienced or are about to experience the shocking realities of adulthood in the city.

Don't see it if You are under the age of 14. I think high schoolers or mature 8th graders are the youngest allowable audiences. Or if puppets scare you.
