Dated, Disappointing, Overrated, Slow, Mediocre

See it if You like the music and you enjoy family reconciliation. The insight into the lives of those involved in the miners' strike is interesting.

Don't see it if You don't want a show about gender roles and labor strikes. I found the music painful to sit through and was actively checking my watch.

Delightful, Epic, Must see, Masterful, Great singing

See it if You like new, original shows. The music is fantastic and it lives up to the hype. You don't need to be a history buff to enjoy this show.

Don't see it if You want a classic musical. The music is new and not standard Broadway. It's fast paced easy to miss things on the first listen. He dies.

Original, Entertaining, Fun, Catchy, Great singing

See it if you like the featured music. I took my parents and they loved it. It's not a "wow" show like Wicked but it's still enjoyable.

Don't see it if you want a big-budget showstopper. Check out the music first- if you don't love it you'll be underwhelmed.

Entertaining, Epic, Great staging, Classic, Great singing

See it if you like classic musicals. The staging is lovely and the music is well-known for a reason. It's an old-school, larger-than-life show.

Don't see it if you want something new. The music is great but it's the opposite of trendy. Might be scary for younger kids. Themes are def at least PG

Delightful, Funny, Hilarious, Raunchy, Whimsical

See it if you're out for a fun time with the girls (or guys) and want a good laugh. This show knows exactly what it is and rolls with it.

Don't see it if you don't like naked men. It is EXACTLY as advertised. They are very, very naked and they sing. They also dance.

Entertaining, Disappointing, Overrated, Cheap, Great singing

See it if You can get cheap tickets and you have kids. Sticks pretty close to the movie- one or two new songs added.

Don't see it if You like big-budget Broadway shows. The music is fine but the production values are so low they're distracting.

Disappointing, Excruciating, Overrated, Quirky, Mediocre

See it if You like audience participation. My parents and grandparents loved it. This is theatre-lite. I wouldn't pay reg Broadway prices for tickets.

Don't see it if You want to see a planned musical. There's an improv feel to this show because of the premise. The music was... okay.

Epic, Entertaining, Great staging, Great music, Great singing

See it if You like the music and you want to see an epic, old school musical. You like period pieces and intricate plots.

Don't see it if You want a light show. This is about a revolution and happy endings aren't guaranteed. There are heavy themes and it's a LONG show. PG-13

Clever, Funny, Quirky, Raunchy, Original

See it if you want a musical that isn't a traditional musical and you like puppets. The music is catchy. It was novel when it debuted.

Don't see it if you have kids or want a classic show. This is a solid R rating & it isn't going to give you a reg musical experience- no big dance numbers.

Clever, Entertaining, Great staging, Classic broadway, Great singing

See it if you like classic Broadway. You've probably heard the music already. This isn't a new show but people love it for a reason.

Don't see it if you like your musicals light. The music is great but it's still about adultery and murder. Probably not ideal for kids. Think a solid PG-13

Wicked (NYC)

Delightful, Enchanting, Great staging, Must see, Great singing

See it if you like big-budget Broadway shows. Even if you don't love the music this show is worth it for the set and costumes- no detail's overlooked.

Don't see it if you have small children. Classic Disney musicals might be a better choice if you want something upbeat.
