If you like this person's taste, follow her!
See it if You will have the most fun theater experience ever! The cast is extraordinary talented. The sets - wow! Worth it just for Tveit's voice
Don't see it if I gave a 99 simply because the show is not particularly innovative. It is gorgeous, very well acted/sung/danced, but not life changing. FUN!
See it if you are looking for breathtaking staging and costumes, incredible dancing and the most beautiful singing voices on the stage. Tveit! Olivo!
Don't see it if you are looking for a direct interpretation from the movie. There are some changes to the song selections and plot.
See it if you want to see how a show's themes still resonate, despite (hopefully!!) changes in attitude towards the LGBTQ community and racism.
Don't see it if you are just a Jim Parson's fan. He was my least favorite in the cast (maybe just because his character is so horrid). Loved the rest!
See it if you want to be transported to a park in Paris. I loved this production. Jake and Annaleigh were amazing. Too bad they aren't Tony eligible!
Don't see it if you don't like Sondheim. However, I never really liked the music from the original, but I totally "get it" now!
See it if you want to have a thoroughly enjoyable, but thought provoking theater experience. This show finds the humanity in the awful events of 9/11.
Don't see it if you are looking for a flashy musical. The set and costumes are minimal. The story/acting/music are all amazing. The band is also fantastic!
See it if you want to be blown away by this incredibly talented cast. Unreal vocals, moving story, terrific acting.
Don't see it if you are looking for something completely upbeat. There are great uplifting and funny moments, but much of the story is very sad.
See it if you like good musical storytelling. The intimate setting adds to the appeal.
Don't see it if you prefer fluffy, feel good musicals. Tony winner Michael Cerevis' character is thoroughly unlikable, so I guess he did his job!
See it if you are looking a high energy, funny show! If you are a fan of the Go-Gos music (but there were a number of songs I wasn't familiar with)
Don't see it if you are looking for deep, thought provoking theater. This is pure fun with a good message of inclusivity and acceptance. Not G rated!
See it if You want to bring the whole family to be entertained. It is pure, silly fun. Great performances!
Don't see it if You are hoping for anything particularly witty.
See it if you want to be entertained. This show is just a fun time. The staging is unique and makes for an interesting experience.
Don't see it if you get overwhelmed easily. There is so much going on in this fully immersive production. You can't possibly follow it all.
See it if you are a big fan of Glenn Close. Like most of this production, she is good, but not great. Not as good as the original.
Don't see it if you are looking for something fresh and new. It is a good story and the ALW score is good, but there is better new material out there.
See it if you like musicals that deal with serious subjects. Reminiscent of Next to Normal. Very well acted and the music is wonderful.
Don't see it if you are looking for fluff. It is not all serious, but the main theme is suicide (spoiler alert?)
See it if you are a fan of Jesse Mueller - outstanding. The rest of the cast is just as wonderful! Could have been "best musical" in a non-Ham year.
Don't see it if you don't like to cry in the theater. There are some very touching moments mixed in with some absolute hilarity.
See it if you like a big fun, funny musical. Sure it is silly at times, but it is so well done! There are great nods to other musicals throughout.
Don't see it if you can't stand silly. (but really, just get over yourself and have some fun).
See it if You enjoy big musicals with beautiful staging and costumes. The Stephen Schwartz music is great and the story is better than the book.
Don't see it if You have already seen it. It is a great show, but there are lots of great shows out there!
