“In a great, cozy, even intimate setting at IRT Theater, the cast of Tom Block’s ‘Sub-Basement’ dazzled the audience with his superb writing and Hunter Bird’s direction. The story of ‘Adrienne,’ her career, romances and psyche as she interacted with three male characters, is performed in beautiful fashion by Veronique Ory…The men also deliver excellent performances. ‘Sub-Basement’ is another great production of Athena Theatre.” Full Review

for a previous production "I feel very fortunate to have seen the amazing Terri Mateer, a beautiful, talented, gracious performer...The autobiographical, one woman show was truly moving, inspirational, and in the end, profound. She 'had me' as they say, when she talked of learning to shoot...Mateer went on to do so much more, blending her basketball and life experiences, in telling her inspirational story...I highly recommend seeing the extraordinary Terri Mateer in this truly moving work." "It is not that big a stretch to say Jeff McCarthy IS Kunstler, as his riveting performance in 'Kunstler' transformed me back in time...Both McCarthy and Kelley, alone and together, give us great insight and revelations about events, many seminal, in which Kunstler was an integral part. There is much I learned and there is a terrific, revealing, heartfelt conclusion to this superb play, about a man that truly engaged on behalf of causes." Full Review
