Resonant, Profound, Clever

See it if you like plays about race. This is yet another take on White Noise/Get Out/ the Sellout (by Paul Beatty).

Don't see it if stage nudity makes you uncomfortable. It can be clearer as well, are there two plots in the play, or just one? The title suggests one.

Profound, Intelligent, Great singing

See it if you love Dave Malloy's brilliant music, and cutting edge, non-conventional stories. The singing and music were superb.

Don't see it if you care about a clear story, or traditional broadway musicals. This is too edgy, and new to appeal to Broadway conservatives.

White Noise
East Village
Thought-provoking, Relevant, Intelligent

See it if you love walking away from a play and talking it about it days afterwards. Paul Beatty's Sellout meets Jordan Peele's Get Out.

Don't see it if if questions of race make you uncomfortable, and if you don't want to be brought out of your comfort zone at the theater.

Exquisite, Great singing, Enchanting

See it if you love Duncan Sheik's gorgeous music. Singing and music are fantastic.

Don't see it if The story and staging are conventional, and one wants more from the writer of Sweat. Still a perfectly beautiful, traditional musical.

Indulgent, Disappointing, Banal

See it if You like Lucas Hnath's plays, and if you know very little about politics, but are sort of mildly interested in the Clinton's.

Don't see it if you are interested in historical plays that dig deep into a subject that provides depth and insights. What a waste of a broadway platform.
