If you like this person's taste, follow her!
See it if If you are a fan of the songbird and desire to have more insight to her life story (show version, obviously) before she catapulted into fame
Don't see it if If you abhor “Jukebox” musicals in the lane of “Mamma Mia,” which start with songs that marked a generation and add a plot to go with it.
See it if Duh... it’s Sondheim! See it in so you can agree with me that this show has the best band on Broadway (...and this coming from a musician!)
Don't see it if You had a lot of liquids: it runs for 90 minutes with no intermission. Just kidding: don’t drink; go see it.
See it if you need a breath of fresh air. If you have dreams yet unfulfilled and need to be inspired. If you like the younger-generation composers.
Don't see it if you would prefer to keep sweeping your own problems under the rug and live a mediocre life. If you are avoiding carbs!
See it if you love the songs and would like to see them enlarged by imaginative staging and period choreography.
Don't see it if you will be restless comparing it to the true fate of the Romanoffs, who apparently were all killed with no one left to tell the story.
See it if you are the one person left who has not seen this (hey, no judgement: I never saw Cats!) Extremely professional.
Don't see it if you are scared of ghosts!
See it if If you like expertly-referenced old time fun! “It’s too Darn Hot” is perfectly placed and stands as the show’s climax. Do I hear Tony?
Don't see it if If you have a “the good old times” mentality and could not stand the idea of seeing a revival of this favorite show.
See it if you like witty writing loaded with riddles (Shakespeare comes to mind;) inventive choreography and cliché-free singing. The hype is real.
Don't see it if you would much rather brag to your friends that you saw a famous show on Broadway; this one is off-kilter for sure.
See it if you are curious to see what the fuss is all about. See it if you had a less than glamorous time in high school.
Don't see it if If you are the type who only likes old classics.
See it if you like great orchestrations, sumptuous dance and extremely fit bods!
Don't see it if you expect Disney productions to be flawless: I saw stagehands and props in the corner but the show is beautiful nevertheless.
See it if you teach voice since you may have to prepare kids for auditions. See it if you are a Wizard of Oz fan and can keep up with the plot.
Don't see it if you expect dramatic excellence. However, after watching the Halloween special on TV I feel like I must give it a second chance.
