Don't see it if If you want a musical cramned with serious issues.

Also This musical falls in the same category as next to normal,spring awakening, etc. . A rock score,dysfunctional youth and parents,lots of interesting movement and lighting. A great cast certainly holds your interest here. I love the music. However,the lyrics were quite often often unintelligible, due to the high decibel level of the band,even during solos. See it if The show has a bonafide star turn by beth malone , some classic meredith wilson tunes, so there is plenty of fun entertainment to be had

Don't see it if If the original is firmly etched in your brain as something you loved.

Also This revisal bends over backwards to make this more feminist and pc,and in the process it still seems dated and too long. It is at its best when sticking with the original material. Also The show had a talented cast. There was a lack of originality in the staging . It was just some basic choreography. Also the show needed more humour.
