See it if You want to watch a classic. The cast was great, it was a lot of fun.
Don't see it if You're not into musicals, or you are expecting a Broadway experience. This is a pretty low key production but still pretty fantastic IMO.
See it if You want another perspective on this tragic chapter in American history.
Don't see it if The material is very raw and emotional, not easy if you are especially sensitive to issues of race and justice in this country.
See it if You are looking for a realistic and touching story on the challenges of being a socially awkward teen. So beautifully done, bravo!
Don't see it if You don't enjoy musicals, stories that touch on difficult, real life situations, F bombs.
See it if You want to see a spin on a classic. The idea is great; the execution needs some work. I do think the actors were really good.
Don't see it if You are a die hard Shakespeare enthusiast and the idea of anyone messing with perfection enrages you. Most of all..IT...WAS...TOO...LONG.
See it if You always wondered how your life as a video game would play out. It was original and fun, the positives outweigh the hiccups.
Don't see it if If you're not nostalgic for those early consoles, or hate video games in general. While the staging was creative, the sound needs work.
See it if You loved the show. Seriously the play is taken directly from episodes, lots of 80's references. Also puppets, who doesn't love puppets??
Don't see it if Puppets aren't your thing, (some find the puppeteers distracting). You don't love the 80's, or didn't dig the show.
See it if For the great singing at the beginning. If you don't mind minimalistic settings. The story is a good one, execution just didn't resonate.
Don't see it if It drags on and on, with no intermission in sight. The actors seemed forced, the whole production was just all over the place for me.
See it if You liked the movie, you like Jessie Mueller. I loved this, it was fun and engaging, the songs were catchy.
Don't see it if Domestic violence/adultery are central, if that's a touchy subject you may want to avoid. Also was it just me or did Jessie mumble A LOT?
See it if You like Cirque Du Soleil, or the circus in general. The acrobatic feats are really all this show has going for it.
Don't see it if If you are looking for a good story to go with your circus. The story and songs are cringe worthy and went on FOREVER!
See it if Thought the acting was good, stories flowed and it was just the right length.
Don't see it if The transitional choreography was cringe-worthy. I overheard several people who shared that opinion while I was leaving the theater. Ugh!
See it if Honestly, I was a little bored, I actually contemplated leaving at intermission. Glad I stayed. The ending was worth it.
Don't see it if A lot of the songs didn't flow for me, I could have done with less. Still it was sweet if a bit corny, glad I stuck it out.
See it if It was light, fluffy fun. The songs were catchy and I liked the cast. Was it great? Not by a long shot but easy way to pass the time.
Don't see it if You don't want to relive the Clinton years. Don't like BJ jokes or semen stained dresses.
See it if Predictable and cliched. I did enjoy seeing Renee Fleming. I saw her a few weeks prior at The Met, so there was that.
Don't see it if I would say pass. Other than hearing Renee Fleming belt out a few high notes the rest of it was pretty forgettable.
See it if I left this production with a deeper appreciation of all the "firsts". The courage, fear, doubt and persecution they faced; so well done.
Don't see it if See this, although it was about breaking barriers in boxing, a lot of it feels relevant 2 society 2day. Change can bring out the worst...
See it if The acting was great, the story was absorbing and the ending was just what it should have been. I really liked it, which was a nice surprise
Don't see it if You don't like one scene plays, small ensemble cast, or open ended endings.
See it if You want to see a great one man show. Seriously, the actor was fantastic slipping into each character flawlessly.
Don't see it if It's pretty heavy without giving anything away, the subject matter is not for everyone.
See it if If only to see the amazing Audra McDonald, as brilliant as always. The entire cast was masterful.
Don't see it if Seriously, you should see it.
See it if You want to see Forest Whitaker or are an Eugene O'Neill enthusiast.
Don't see it if I can't for the life of me understand why FW would pick this for his Bway debut. Despite the short 60 min. it felt like a lot longer...
See it if Wasn't sure if I would enjoy straight-up singing with no real story, but it was fun and engaging. See it for a fun, no strings good time.
Don't see it if You are looking for a musical, with a beginning, middle and end story. This isn't it.
See it if You like musicals, sarcasm, and re-living the same day over and over and over...I was honestly surprised how much I loved this.
Don't see it if The movie is sacred to you and should not be messed with. Hate musicals.
See it if You enjoy Beethoven, seriously.
Don't see it if You value your time, enjoy understanding the dialogue, like milk, or the color orange, because they will forever be soiled by this turd.
See it if you like interactive, loud, manic performances.
Don't see it if You have epilepsy, are prone to migraines, have free time. Just not my cup of tea. Hats off to the performers they gave it their all.
See it if You like Chris Gethard. It's a heavy topic, but he does a good job with making a uncomfortable subject go down smoothly.
Don't see it if Suicide, depression, medications, and humor don't work for you. I like Chris, but this was just okay for me. I laughed maybe twice.
See it if You want to "see" a show unlike any you've gone to previously. Really is an amazing full body experience. The story was also fascinating.
Don't see it if There is no intermission and it does go on a bit, some parts feel a bit clunky. Headphones are required and it can get quite loud.
See it if You loved the movie, love seeing kids on stage and are just looking to leave your cares at the door. Fun for the entire family.
Don't see it if It's pretty loud, so if you are looking for something quiet and cerebral this is not for you.
See it if You're looking to have mindless fun. It's silly, and sometimes a little slow but I felt like a kid and couldn't stop smiling watching it.
Don't see it if You're looking for thought provoking theatre. This is a silly production to just sit back, leave your cares behind and enjoy.
See it if You don't mind all singing, all the time. Some people don't. The story is easy to follow, the singing is fantastic, totally engaged.
Don't see it if You mind all singing, all the time. It's not for everyone. The cast was great and the audience was totally mesmerized, it was great to see
See it if For such a serious and timely issue, I found the production uneven and unfocused. I didn't really make a connection w/anyone.
Don't see it if You expect to be moved by this very serious topic, not sure exactly what was missing but I found it really lacking.
See it if It was just ok for me. The songs were cute, the actors invested, it just wasn't my thing. It was all me, just didn't connect.
Don't see it if I say give it a try. I can see someone else getting a kick out of it.
See it if Cannot say enough about how wonderful this musical is. Well worth the wait and wait and wait....
Don't see it if You are pro Burr?? If you are lucky enough to snag tickets, see this musical!
See it if You like period pieces, great acting, great writing. Liked it more than I thought I would.
Don't see it if Don't like period pieces, have trouble understanding accents, hate poofy dresses.
See it if You really like Chris Noth. I found it boring, slow and could not wait for it to end. Several people never came back after intermission.
Don't see it if You have things to do. Also totally unnecessary nudity. I am cool with nudity but it is not always necessary or relevant to the story.
See it if You thought the books were silly, fluffy, fun. The songs were funny, the casting was inventive. Had a good, light time.
Don't see it if You hated the books, don't like profanity or vulgar sex jokes.
See it if You're open to a twist on a classic story. The best way to describe it is weird and wonderful.
Don't see it if You have a problem with cross dressing, exposed skin, or very little dialogue. This is a very visual show.
See it if You want to be moved in a way that stays with you long after the play has ended. It was simply one of the best I've seen.
Don't see it if Can't think of one reason not to see this. If I could rank it as 200 I would.
