If you like this person's taste, follow him or her!
See it if You/your child liked the original, you want to support a diverse cast.
Don't see it if You don’t like shout-singing or grating voices-actors pretended to be kids by making voices crack and high pitched. Left during intermission
See it if you want to hear Kelli O'Hara's voice (as well as others, which are less Broadway show tunes and more classically trained)
Don't see it if you don't want to see many scenes from the play with in the play-the characters are actors in Taming of the Shrew and there are many scenes
See it if You'd like to learn about a historical figure you might not otherwise know. See it if you like and want to support all female cast.
Don't see it if You don't like yelling/screaming/wailing. Most lines by most actors throughout most of the play are delivered like this and it was a lot.
See it if You enjoy intimate plays and theaters (small room), you like thinking about things you might not have thought about before
Don't see it if You are triggered by sexual assault, though the play is more about grief and guilt (and friendship!) than about assault. Also Joey is great
See it if You want a fun experience, with fun songs and fun characters, and a set and production value that will wow you.
Don't see it if Honestly hard to say who wouldn’t like it, and this is coming from someone who thought they didn’t like musicals!
See it if you enjoy cheesy but funny humor, you want to be impressed by Santino Fontana (both regular and falsetto!) and others (lots of great solos!)
Don't see it if you want nuanced gender politics (which were funny, but perhaps obvious and heavyhanded/didactic, though relevant)
See it if you like modern interpretations, you'd otherwise normally find Shakespeare inaccessible (this is so fun and real!)
Don't see it if you expect a traditional Shakespearean play (they use the same lines and plot, but the reframing is fresh and modern)
See it if You want to learn about a dedicated journalist. The multiple actresses playing one character was very cool.
Don't see it if You are triggered by violent imagery.
See it if You like non-traditional theater (this was not unlike performance art) and supporting women (all female cast). The live music was also great
Don't see it if You don’t like musicals or experimental art. Some musicals are 50/50 singing and acting, this is mostly singing
See it if You want to see famous actors like Adam Driver and Keri Russell
Don't see it if You don’t want to hear Adam Driver yelling for 2.5 hours and Keri Russell over enunciating every word.
