See it if You have never seen Phantom, and are looking for something spectacular. Particularly a good choice if you are new to theater.

Don't see it if You want something cutting edge and modern. It is dated, but the costumes and music are still gorgeous.

See it if you have never seen the play or want to see Denzel Washington and other incredible acting performances.

Don't see it if you can't sit through a long play. I think the best part is the last 2 acts.

See it if you LOVE Jimmy Buffett. Or if you are looking for a show where you can just turn your brain off and drink a margarita while watching.

See it if You love seeing stage adaptations of classic films. They make Samantha Barks really look like Julia Roberts in the movie & she sounds great.

Don't see it if you don't like the story- or are looking for a family show. I didn't feel like all of the ways they "stretched it" to make it 2hr 30 worked.

Also Andy Karl is AMAZING, but the role was clearly written for Steve Kazee. His songs basically sound like they belong in ONCE. They don't match the rest of the music in the show, and since Andy isn't Steve it was just kind of strange. Give Andy new songs!!!... Read more Read less

Don't see it if you want something upbeat and constantly engaging.

See it if You love Donna Summer music or are looking for a fun night out where you don't have to think.

Don't see it if Structural issues are a dealbreaker. The story woven with the songs becomes jumpy and doesn't hit the emotional points it should.

See it if You want a family friendly show with spectacle, heart, and familiar characters.

Don't see it if You want something that is cutting edge. I enjoyed it seeing it 10+ years after the first, but it is no longer the most innovative magic.

See it if You want a play dealing with relevant social issues- class & race. A compelling story of people striving to do the best they can.

See it if you know the Harry Potter series and want to see an incredible production. The staging and special effects are truly amazing.

Don't see it if you don't know anything about Harry Potter. Someone who doesn't know the books or movies would easily get lost in the plot.

Don't see it if you hate non-traditional versions of musicals. Also the last row of the balcony says it is partial view and at times it REALLY IS PARTIAL.

See it if you love Miss Saigon and/or large scale musicals. See it for Eva and Jon Jon- they are incredible.

Don't see it if you dont' like large musicals and/or want an uplifting story.

See it if you want to see an interesting piece delving into what has happened to Nora and how these "outliers" continue to relate to their world.

Don't see it if you haven't looked up the main plot point of A Doll's House- you really just need to know that Nora left home which was radical for the time

See it if you want a musical with big dance numbers and fun swing music.

Don't see it if you require a plot to be completely logical. Also, if you are not ok with that fact that a LOT of extra things are danced (moving sets etc).
