You don’t enjoy theatre that makes you consider your own life problems and how they are relative to the rest of the world’s.

Muswell Hill is a relavent, contemporary play that is unapologetic in its subject matter. Betts seems to be tackling many different themes throughout the play but effortlessly comes back to the main message: can we put aside our problems to focus on the bigger task at hand? Patterson’s directing is spot on and the use of the space is innovative and capturing. Carvell’s suave and handsome character, Mat, is posed nicely against his wife Jess, played by Colleen Clinton. Lily Dorment steels the show with her quirky laugh and specific dietary requests. This is a MUST SEE off-broadway production.... Read more Read less
