See it if you're looking for something light and fun or if you're a fan of Alex Brightman (he does not disappoint)

Don't see it if you prefer more serious shows or aren't a fan of adaptations. This adaptation was decent but didn't capture the heart of the original film

See it if you want to see the tour de force that is Lea Michelle playing Fanny Brice. From her first line, she absolutely commanded that stage.

Don't see it if you're looking for a show with a strong book. The second act DRAGS!

See it if you make it you've made it your mission to see every new show this season or you are going to cheer on a cast member.

Don't see it if you're looking for a show with a strong book with an equally strong score (it has neither).

August 2nd, 2022

See it if I honestly can't think of a reason. This was the worst profession production I've ever seen. Maybe if you've got a friend in the ensemble?

Don't see it if you're looking for a show with a strong book or score, this show has neither. It sounds like it was written by a 14 year old girl on Tik Tok

See it if you enjoyed the film or are looking for a fully realized movie musical. The score may not be perfect, but it has strong moments.

Don't see it if you don't enjoy dark comedies.

May 26th, 2022

See it if you want to see a funny and faithful adaptation of a beloved 90s comedy. Also, see it for Rob, he's brilliant in the role!

Don't see it if you don't care for comedies or prefer original shows. This show is a film adaptation and it doesn't shy away from that fact.

May 2nd, 2022

See it if you have a desire to see each new show this season.

Don't see it if you're looking for something well executed. This show had great potential but too many rewrites left a muddled, dull mess in the end.

See it if you love this play. From what I heard from audience members who enjoyed it; this revival was a strong adaptation of the original work

Don't see it if You like a play with a plot, strong themes, or likable characters. I was bored/indifferent throughout.

Must see, Entertaining, Funny
February 13th, 2022

See it if You'd appreciate a classic musical put on by an all star cast. This show is funny, entertaining, and endearing, as any production should be

Don't see it if you're particularly interested in choreography. This was the bit of the show that just didn't work. The movements were too awkward, bizarre

March 10th, 2020

See it if you love the music of 70s and 80s hair metal bands. Also you might want to see it for the leads; the two current ones are quite talented

Don't see it if you're looking for a clever book that elevates its score. This show was both unimaginative and crass

February 10th, 2020

See it if you want to be moved by a piece of theater. The performances are powerful.

Don't see it if you're looking for a pricey production. This show is being put on by a cast of relative unknowns in a black box theater in Brooklyn.

February 2nd, 2020

See it if you love the music of the Temptations. The arrangements are lovely and the choreography is excellent.

Don't see it if you're looking for a strong book. Unlike Beautiful and Jersey Boys, this band themed musical struggled to bring the lead's story to life.

See it if you love Alanis Morissette's music or are looking for a show that tackles many of the issues of the day. Also, see it for the cast!

Don't see it if you're fed up with woke culture. This show is exhausting at times, but at times genuinely enjoyable. Act 1 drags; Act 2 is notably better

See it if you want to see Little Shop as it's meant to be seen. This show has the charm you can only get in a tiny theater and the cast is outstanding

See it if you're looking to see a well performed, thought-provoking piece set in the build up to the 36 Berlin games.

See it if you're looking for a fun show, full of wall to wall hits sung by powerhouse performers. Fans of the film won't be disappointed.

See it if you're looking to laugh from start to finish. This is a genuinely such funny show. The cast plays these broad characters really well.

Don't see it if you're looking for a show with a strong score. The songs were forgettable, but, despite that, it was still a delightful comedy.

May 13th, 2019

See it if you love long, well-crafted dance numbers. This is a dance-heavy show and, on that front, it did not disappoint.

Don't see it if you're looking for a show that works. This one doesn't hold up particularly well. There's virtually no plot and what is there is dated.

See it if you want to see an original take on a classic piece. The orchestrations are absolutely gorgeous and the cast is solid.

Don't see it if you love Oklahoma. This isn't the best revival of the original piece (liberties are taken) and some of the experimental elements don't work.
