See it if I think this maybe the most cliche ridden musical I’ve ever seen. But it wasn’t as terrible as this sounds…

Don't see it if Well, it’s closing tomorrow.

Also It wasn’t terrible, but one has to look at the reality of off Broadway... Read more Read less

See it if You know — it was interesting — but just enough so it wasn’t boring.

Don't see it if I wouldn’t call it a play — it’s more performance art — or actually 5 actors doings word for word answers from various people interviewed.

Also I never saw these plays done by ADS as drama — more of a montage of pe... Read more Read less

Entertaining, Delightful, Clever

See it if A surprisingly well done production, far better than I expected — and the music and the musicians are a great layer to the play.

Don't see it if Well, one should see it. Tickets are affordable and to see live theater and music — it’s a great date night.

Also The wonderful thing about Shakespeare’s plays is that they can be perf... Read more Read less

One in Two
Midtown W
Absurdist, Intelligent, Great acting, Ambitious

See it if This is a thoughtful play — there is real intelligence behind how this play progresses — behind its absurdist structure (think “No Exit”).

Don't see it if I don’t quite get this part of the critique — if a play is excellent in many ways — people should see it and then judge for themselves.

Also Before seeing “One in Two” the premise seemed formulaic and “preachy” ... Read more Read less

Forgettable, Overrated

See it if You’ve never seen a production of MacBeth before

Don't see it if If you’re expecting to see excellent theater - esp. after reading The NY Times review

Also Having seen numerous productions of MacBeth — I was going to skip this... Read more Read less

See it if See it if you are a Sondheim fan — which we all should be. I mean, Sondheim should have won the Nobel over Bob Dylan!

Don't see it if Assassins is a weird play — not fabulous weird like Pacific Overtures — but just odd and uninteresting. It overreaches and is nonsensical.

Also You know, it’s not genius Sondheim, and let’s face it — it’s uninspire... Read more Read less

Amateurish, sophomoric

See it if See it if you’re sick of binge watching tv shows and need to get out of the house and you’re given free tickets.

Don't see it if If you have to buy the tickets…

Also This is a really flawed play — beginning with the characters and struc... Read more Read less

Suicide Forest

See it if I really can’t recommend this play — and I really, really wanted to. It’s a very disjointed and odd play.

Don't see it if If you’re not into experimental theater.

Also Well, I’m glad to have seen it and I am glad she got the play produced... Read more Read less

It’s more than camp

See it if You want to see a gay play, a gay sense of humor, a gay sensibility, a certain archness, why one would still watch Bette Davis movies.

Don't see it if Well, actually you should see it

Also Gay humor used to be based on biting sarcasm, a riposte, the cutting r... Read more Read less

Better than one would expect, Entertaining

See it if You need to do something before the 11 pm show at Birdland — which is down the block. Very convenient!

Don't see it if You need any sense of set design or production value.

Also I wasn’t expecting much, so my expectations were rather low — but the ... Read more Read less

Don't see it if I should have walked out at Part 2 - when the audience had to leave their seats. But I was hoping the evening would be redeemed - it wasn’t

Also Sorry — don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but just a negative exp... Read more Read less
