See it if You love beautiful shows with funny, creative lyrics and catchy songs! Also if you like NMNI shows (ninety minutes, no intermission).
Don't see it if You need a show to be fully-resolved at the end, or you are looking for something with more conflict.
See it if you want to feel and the feelings! Great for a girls night musical, or even better, to see with your mom/daughter. Music is lovely and fun
Don't see it if you aren't a fan of Sara Bareilles - seems obvious but if her singer-songwriter vibe isn't your thing, you won't enjoy yourself.
See it if you want a feel-good show with fun music, and it helps to be familiar with the MTA and it's shortcomings...
Don't see it if you are a tourist and have never experienced the subway before. You will still enjoy but will miss many of the best jokes!
See it if you love Gloria, but also if you aren't SUPER familiar - I went into the show knowing Conga and left as a huge Gloria fan!!
Don't see it if you don't like jukebox musicals. I don't always care for them, but I really enjoyed this one (and even saw it twice!)
See it if you want to laugh really hard! Andy Karl is fantastic. The show is just the right amount of dirty and I couldn't stop laughing.
Don't see it if you want a short show - it is long because of all the repetition that the story requires. The Nancy song is pointless and I could do without
See it if you like musicals that are different and unusual. The set is gorgeously done and the actors are fantastic
Don't see it if you prefer more traditional musicals. Most of the show is totally bizarre
See it if you want to try something new and are capable of walking around the village for a few hours
Don't see it if you are unable to walk for long periods of time
See it if you have some connection to the Bronx (specifically the Belmont area) or like the movie
Don't see it if you're expecting something new and exciting, or have high hopes for the Menken-Slater team- the music was a let down from these two geniuses
See it if You are excited by non-traditional staging, and enjoy sung-through musicals.
Don't see it if you only care about Josh Groban - he is GREAT but is not in much of the show. If you are expecting a JG concert you will be disappointed.
See it if you are already a fan of Carole King and jukebox musicals
Don't see it if I find her music a bit boring and was really hoping that this show would change that opinion. I wanted to like it SO BAD but was let down
See it if you are a child or have no standards for Broadway performances
Don't see it if you are extremely bothered by latecomers flooding in throughout the ENTIRE performance. The whole time!!!
