The Wrong Man

Cliched, Great singing, Entertaining

See it if You love the way Thomas Kail directs. I could watch him direct a reading of the phone book. The design is also stunning.

Don't see it if You expect to see a new take on a oft repetitive story. Great dancing or an unpredictable story.

See it if You like great writing. The story is really engrossing and unpredictable. The direction is inspired. A very well-crafted play.

Don't see it if If you're distracted by incredibly inconsistent accents. They sounded a little Irish, American and Russian periodically.

Great writing, Quirky, Clever, Great acting

See it if you want to see Adam Driver's performance. He has incredible physicality to match his vocal dexterity. Mesmerizing.

Don't see it if You hope the rest of the cast will be as good as Driver. While they have flashes of cleverness. They don't have Driver's chops on stage.

Must see, Quirky, Great singing, Great staging, Resonant

See it if You're not typically a fan of musicals. You might be surprised by this one. The music is beautiful and the story is very relatable.

Don't see it if You don't like to tear up in public. You'll be hard-pressed to leave the theater dry-eyed after this one.

Slow, Excruciating, Disappointing, Indulgent

See it if You want to see how Kushner rewrote the play.

Don't see it if You love the play (like a do)! Terribly miscast and misdirected. The play lost it's heart and the actors couldn't handle the language

East Village
Relevant, Intelligent, Indulgent, Cliched, Clever

See it if you want to experience Socrates as he might have been. The show can be more didactic than dramatic at times.

Don't see it if you want something that engages the heart more than the head. The "emotional" moments felt rather forced and unearned at times.

Masterful, Must see, Refreshing, Absorbing, Ambitious

See it if You're a lover of American history and hip-hop. It's remarkably moving and brilliantly directed. It lives up to the hype!

Don't see it if I don't know why you wouldn't want to see this show. It is wordy. So, if you find that overwhelming....??

White Noise

Great acting, Intelligent, Thought-provoking, Relevant, Absorbing

See it if You are interested in a challenging, honest discussion on race relations in America. Daveed Diggs gives an extraordinary performance.

Don't see it if You're in the mood for something light-hearted to escape the world for a bit.
