The Comedian's Tragedy
Soho/Tribeca
Great writing, Intelligent, Great acting, Clever, Ambitious

See it if you like language-driven big plays about ideas. You like Greek plays or classics or even classic themes about the meaning of life and art.

Don't see it if You want lighter fare. There are plenty of laughs in this show but the comedy is elevated and intelligent with references to Greek mythology

See it if you love Suzan-Lori Parks' writing. Or if you love edgy, slightly more avant-garde theater. This is an exquisite production of this play.

Don't see it if Brechtian style theater isn't your thing. If you are bothered by implied violence or are strongly against abortion.

See it if you are being paid to go. And then possibly not as this may be the worse 90 minutes you ever spend in a theater. Horrible, unfunny writing.

Don't see it if you value actual comedy because you will not laugh. Or you may laugh at the absurdity of someone actually putting money behind this show.

Also The young lady playing Ivanka and Hillary is a real talent. One wishes... Read more Read less

See it if you like classic musical comedies. A beautiful production of a rarely produced show. Lighter fare, pure entertainment.

See it if you like absorbing stories about current issues. Phenomenal acting by Eddie Martinez, who created a beautifully real and complex character.
