See it if You wanna see Myles Frost's Tony-winning performance. That man can REALLY sing and dance, and he has MJ's voice and mannerisms down pat.

Don't see it if You like a show that feels full/complete. The story is shallow & dives no deeper than what most already know about MJ; story is incomplete.

Also This is one of the weaker biographical jukebox musicals I've seen beca... Read more Read less

See it if You have an interest in Audrey Hepburn. The lead is decent as Audrey; she's got the look and a nice voice, although her accent is strange.

Don't see it if You're paying. I paid $30 & felt ripped off. This is a bare bones workshop with inconsistent talent. Some acting & vocals were just awful.

Also This is beyond Off-Broadway or Off-Off-Broadway. Definitely a work in ... Read more Read less

See it if You like storybook fantasies about princes and princesses. You enjoy shows with teen protagonists and low stakes. You want mindless fun.

Don't see it if You don't like cliches; this is chock-full of them. Most characters are paper-thin caricatures. Tone of the show is odd: who is this for?

Also Other reviewers have said the same thing, but it's worth mentioning ag... Read more Read less

See it if Julie Benko is on; she was excellent. You like old-school musicals with a large cast and many dance numbers. You want to be entertained.

Don't see it if You expect this to be of the same quality as other recent revivals of old musicals like "Hello, Dolly!" & "The Music Man." It's not at all.

Also The set was disappointing: just a cylindrical structure in the middle ... Read more Read less

See it if You love the novel and/or enjoy storytelling. The play is presented chronologically as a story with a narrator. You enjoy immigrant stories.

Don't see it if You have expectations for Broadway. Set/staging super basic; 95% of action took place down center. Act 2 not great & twice length of Act 1.

Also Amir Arison put in a strong performance with the material he was given... Read more Read less

See it if You liked the movie or Mean Girls. This is catty nastiness at its best with off-color humor throughout. Strong vocals in an intimate space.

Don't see it if You're easily offended; source material was intentionally shocking. Characters = caricatures. Small stage, basic set. Iffy American accents.

See it if You love technical wizardry & stagecraft. The special effects are worth the price of admission. So well done! Also if you love the movie.

Don't see it if You want memorable songs. The music was generic and forgettable (altho vocals were good). Show is fun but not deep. Wonky American accents.

See it if You love pop music and/or grew up in the 90s-00s. Max Martin's songs are cleverly woven in. Jukebox musicals can be trash, but not this one.

Don't see it if You want a thought-provoking show. While I will stop short of saying this is complete fluff and just entertainment, it's certainly not deep.

See it if You like theatre/musicals in general. A very well done reinterpretation of "Cabaret." Amy Lennox was stunning, and Fra Free held his own.

Don't see it if You're expecting the Emcee to dominate like in the Mendes version. He's more subtle here. A great production, but not quite Mendes level.

See it if You enjoy production value. The spaces you walk thru/explore are beautifully done, as is the norm for Punchdrunk. You like to make choices.

Don't see it if You want any semblance of a coherent story, & I did research beforehand. "Sleep No More" was a much better experience. This was just random.

See it if You want a fun, entertaining night. This is classic Broadway with huge dance numbers. Hugh Jackman is super charming & grabs your attention.

Don't see it if You prefer a musical/play with something to say. There's no deeper meaning here. It's entertainment pure & simple. Story is very dated.

See it if Just see it. It's not easy being a Black gay man. "ASL" takes us deep into the mind of one & lets us experience his trauma & his healing.

Don't see it if You're not open-minded or can't relate to others' experiences. Some people in the audience were visibly uncomfortable, but that's the point.

See it if You want to see a well-done modern take on Shakespeare. Creative integration of technology throughout. Acting is solid, tho not mindblowing.

Don't see it if You can't sit thru 2 hrs before the 1st (of 2) intermissions. Set is great, but limitations of the space don't allow for elaborate changes.

Thought-provoking, Slow, Overrated, Great acting, Ambitious

See it if You want to see masterful acting performances, especially from Parker and Morse. Parker especially is likely a shoo-in for the Tony.

Don't see it if You want to be blown away. It was good, but also slow, tonally off, & sometimes hard to follow (time shifts & double casting). Set is basic.

Clever, Riveting, Masterful, Great acting, Absorbing

See it if No ifs, just see it. James McAvoy is stellar; the man can truly act. The conceit of the show as spoken word/slam poetry-esque is very clever

Don't see it if You’re expecting a musical. There is a beatboxer who supports the spoken word/slam poetry segments, but it's definitely a play.

See it if You like shows with a relevant message; this is about immigrants and the American dream. The Latin song and dance numbers are excellent!

Don't see it if You want satisfying conclusions to all of the many storylines. There is also a pro-military & heavily patriotic vibe that is very Arizona.

See it if You're looking for a fun night at the theatre. Rob McClure's performance of Mrs. Doubtfire, Daniel, & all his impressions are worth it!

Don't see it if You're looking for something deep or poignant. This is pure entertainment and lots of excess (e.g. cooking sequence). But it's earnest fun.
