See it if You love meta-musicals along the lines of the very clever DROWSY CHAPERONE, & CURTAINS; enjoy clever songs & belting voices

Don't see it if You're not fans of musicals or gay people. Everyone else will love it!

Delightful, Enchanting, Thought-provoking, Great singing, Exquisite

See it if Lauren Ambrose is amazing--who knew she could sing? If you love the movie, you'll adore this production. The ending is electrifying.

Don't see it if ...if you're not a fan of musicals. I'M GETTING MARRIED/MORNING is an thrilling showstopper! Harry Haddon-Paton is great (youthful) Higgins.

Also The ending is amazing because it can be played very differently based ... Read more Read less

Life-changing, Heart-warming, Hilarious, Must see, Great writing

See it if You've only ever seen the abbreviated movie version...the play (even streamlined) is even better. If you love Michael Urie & Mercedes Ruehl.

Don't see it if You're intollerant or don't want to laugh your ass off and end the evening in tears.

Great staging, Must see, Entertaining, Ambitious, Interactive

See it if If you enjoy opera--everything sung. High energy production; astounding staging has the cast on stage & in balcony often. Outstanding singin

Don't see it if If you want to leave humming songs. A few great songs (like 1st one introducing the cast), most are expository. This is WAR & PEACE w/ music

Also The theater has been redesigned for this production & its amazing. The... Read more Read less

Slow, Great singing, Dated, Entertaining, Bare bones production

See it if Nick Barasch (Huck) & Kyle Scatliffe (Jim) were outstanding. 18 yr old Barasch is a major talent & drove the show. Their duets soared.

Don't see it if It won 1985 Best Musical Tony but its slow & stodgy & the book relegates Jim to a smaller role. Minimal staging. Music is very country.

Disappointing, Thinly-plotted, Unmemorable score, Movie-ripoff, Uninvolving

See it if You love ALW & Linklater's film is one of your all-time favorites; if youre OK seeing a replay of the movie with songs that dont add much.

Don't see it if strong characters & plotting matter to you. This is aimless; songs dont deepen characters; very predictable even if you havent seen the film

East Village
Hilarious, Raunchy, Entertaining, Must see, Clever

See it if you're a fan of Charles Busch (DIE MOMMIE DIE) because his take on the queen of the Nile is hilarious and he is spectacularly funny.

Don't see it if If you dont like meta humor, inside jokes and clever (and raunchy) wordplay. The supporting cast is also terrific. Busch is a delight.

Aladdin (Broadway)

Energetic, Bouncy, Entertaining, Funny, Great staging

See it if You're a fan of the classic animated film and enjoy the addition of songs that were cut from the film. The cast is energetic and talented.

Don't see it if're hoping for more than what you've already seen in the film. The monkey had been replaced by three sidekicks and that's about ir.

Dated, Great songs, Creeky production, On life support, Overrated

See it if Running since 1988, there are great songs & music but this show needs a director to jolt it back to life. For years its been sleepwalking.

Don't see it if ...unless u get tickets at TKTS. The "falling" chandeliere moves at a snails pace as so does the staging. Wonderful songs; cheaper to buy CD

Delightful, Clever, Hilarious, Must see, Raunchy

See it if It's been running for years but it's still an absolute delight: raunchy, clever, hilarious! You'll be singing these songs for a long time!

Don't see it if if you dont like raunchy puppets. I do, so I loved it. See it and you'll suddenly understand a lot of jokes that have flown over your head.

Entertaining, Great staging, Great writing, Riveting, Great songs

See it if I thought this was gonna be a jukebox musical but its a riveting drama with great songs and imaginative staging. Much better than the movie

Don't see it if if u have no interest in Frankie Valle & 4 Seasons. But even if u have no badground in their music, this is a compelling, dramatic show.

Overrated, Indulgent, Disappointing, Clever

See it if Based on film KIND HEARTS & CORONETS, its a showcase for one actor to play various family members. Thats fun & staged well but songs r dull

Don't see it if you like musical numbers that you'll hum on the way home. There's one good, slamming-door musical number; all the rest are forgettable.

Funny, Slow, Intense, Entertaining, Disappointing

See it if Who would not want to see CicelyTyson (90) and James Earl Jones (84) sparring on stage. Great play but the energy level is low.

Don't see it if Perhaps because I saw it in previews and they werent sure on their feet yet, but it should be played quick, fast and hard and it was slack.

Disappointing, Overrated, Raunchy, Funny, Edgy

See it if're a SOUTH PARK fan.

Don't see it if're not bentover in hysterics laughing at rape, AIDS and mass murder being played for laughs. I love SOUTH PARK butthis was just crude

Compelling, Thought-provoking, Strong singing, Meh songs

See it if If you like bare-stage musicals with strong vocals, but singing forgettable songs. The story was compelling, music was meh.

Don't see it if If you have no interest in teenage angst. It's not a subtle show.

Great writing, Relevant, Must see, Legendary,, Funny

See it if Wonderfully acted; written 50 yrs ago, it feels fresh; bravo to all-gay cast working at their peak. Come for the legend, stay for the sizzle

Don't see it if If you're not a fan of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF you may not appreciate the witty, caustic and hilarious dialog.

Hilarious, Once-in-a-lifetime-event, Must see, Unforgettable star performance, Great singing

See it if you want to tell your grandkids you saw a legendary performance. Bette Midler is fantastic. The supporting cast are all scene-stealers.

Don't see it if If you don't like old fashioned musicals where you end up singing all the songs for weeks afterward.

Also This is a WONDERFUL show--memorable/catchy songs, brilliant/hilarious ... Read more Read less

Exhilarating, Great songs/score/singing/acting, Imaginative staging, Emotion-filled, Must see

See it if One of my all-time favorites. A powerhouse cast, outstanding score, brilliant story. Goosebump-inducing show. Not just the movie w/ songs!

Don't see it if Unless u hated the original movie, you're going to love this musical adaptation. A dark, fascinating, character-rich, bitingly-funny show!

Funny, All-star, Fast-paced, Nathan lane, Great staging

See it if Classic comedy starts slowly but all-star cast is great (weak link: John Slattery) esspecially Nathan Lane (enters mid-2nd Act). Great set!

Don't see it if You dont like old-fashioned 3-Act comedies (2 hrs 45mins, 2 intermissions). Act 1 could have used more zip. But by midplay, its fast & funny

Lackluster, Low-budget, Dull, Excellent lead, Slow

See it if You like very small shows with a dozen actors playing 3 roles each; if you enjoy Sutton Foster; you're a diehard fan of the the show.

Don't see it if if you love Fosse's choreography (it's been dropped & restaged); if you don't like paying Broadway prices for bare-stage productions.

During previews
Hilarious, Great writing, Disco-tastic, Campy, Meta

See it if You love the idea of mixing POSEIDON ADVENTURE, EARTHQUAKE and AIRPORT with classic disco songs of the 70s. You'll laugh & sing along.

Don't see it if if you're not a fan of the silly or clever or didn't enjoy XANADU. Hard to resist the all star cast!

Wicked (NYC)

Must see, Unforgettable, Great staging, Original, Spectacular

See it if If you love HUGE production values and songs you'll hum on your way home. With or without name stars, this musical is one of the best! Go!

Don't see it if if you hated Wizard of Oz. This is a clever alternative version of the classic film's background story. Thus is biggest production on Bway.

Chicago (NYC)

Delightful, Entertaining, Great songs, Great dancing, Must see

See it if Been running for years with different casts but its ALWAYS a great show with wonderful songs and dances.

Don't see it if if you wnat a big splashy musical. This is a stripped-down production, but one that has been selling out since 1996!

Clever, Entertaining, Funny, Profound, Great songs

See it if youy love Harvey Fierstein or Cyndi Lauper. A boyant, empowering, energetic musical with heart.

Don't see it if You didn't like the original movie...altho that film didn't have Lauper's catchy, Tony Award-winning songs.

Sleep No More
Confusing, Disappointing, Quirky, Hit or miss, Solitary experience

See it if You're feeling lucky. I went with 8 people. We were all split up and regrouped after 3 hrs. I missed everything others saw including nudity.

Don't see it if It is a a very David Lynch-like experience wandering by yourself in a mask & mute. I just wish I'd experienced half of what friends did.

Absorbing, Ambitious, Funny, Great acting, Great writing

See it if There are bo bad seats in this in-the-round production. Heartbreaking, funny, compelling songs and plot. Outstanding staging and cast.

Don't see it if you're looking for a light show. This is about a girl exploring her sexuality, her closeted father, a suicide and charming songs!

Delightful, Great acting, Great staging, Great writing, Must see

See it if Outstanding production of R&H's greatest musical. Great songs & cast; absorbing story; spectacular production design. There are no bad seats

Don't see it if If you love the Yul Brynner movie, because once you see this Lincoln Center production, all other versions pale.
