If you like this person's taste, follow her!
See it if you like sweet, funny, warm-hearted, optimistic, romantic dramedy, catchy-as-hell music, and PIE!
Don't see it if you are looking for something dark or edgy. It is the opposite of that.
See it if you like family-friendly, enchanting musicals, solid performances (and a beautiful set!). It may lag a bit, but overall it's a real pleasure
Don't see it if you are only into "edgy" theatre. This is a good old-fashioned lovely show; no explosions or blood! ;-)
See it if you like sweet, charming romantic comedies. It's a bon-bon! (great performances and GREAT set, too!)
Don't see it if you are in the mood for something dark and deep.
See it if you like ROCK AND ROLL, debauched glamour, things that eff with gender, social commentary delivered in a glittery love bomb.
Don't see it if you can't handle LOUD. Seriously - this show can be... really... LOUD. Like whoa. Intense!
See it if you are a fan of Fiddler, or classic musicals generally. This is a glorious revival. Danny Burstein as Tevye is a revelation: simply perfect
Don't see it if you get bored by classic musicals. It is somewhat LONG. And the "modern" framing device doesn't really work, imo.
See it if you like ballet. Seriously, it's BEAUTIFUL. SO beautiful. But it's more a ballet than a musical. MUST LOVE BALLET.
Don't see it if ballet makes you fall asleep. Because the book is kinda nonsense, and again: IT'S REALLY A BALLET.
See it if you like emotionally resonant, original theatre. Or you are a graphic novel fan. OR if you are a literate human with a pulse. BRING KLEENEX!
Don't see it if you are terrible. No really. If you are an extremely homophobic person, or you hate EMOTIONS, you will probably not like this show.
See it if you like knock-it-out-of-the-park singing and profoundly moving masterpieces. This version of the show is unmissable, in my opinion.
Don't see it if you are a misogynist, a racist, or a fool. HEY, you aren't any of those things, what are you doing with your life, go see this!
See it if You like slapstick, goofy, British humor, pratfalls, over-the-top clownery and laughing till it hurts. PS: Hilty's breasts deserve an EGOT!
Don't see it if If you don't like humor, or if you are looking for something deep and meaningful.
See it if you like spectacle! This is a dazzling and totally delightful bon-bon from Disney with great stage effects.
Don't see it if if you hate the movie, or hate Disney things in general.
See it if you have a somewhat wicked sense of humor. It's VERY funny, but bawdy. (There were old people sitting in front of me and... awkward)
Don't see it if you are extremely religious, or elderly.
See it if you like highly original, thought-provoking entertainment. It's like nothing I've seen before. The staging is seriously PHENOMENAL.
Don't see it if you have easily triggered epilepsy. There are a lot of, like, blinking lights, flashes, strobes, etc.
See it if you like goofy humor and theatrical in-jokes. It will make you laugh a LOT, but it's not exactly high-brow/sophisticated humor.
Don't see it if you take yourself (and your theatre) too seriously. It's REALLY goofy. If you hated SPAMALOT, you'd probably not love this.
See it if you're looking for something fun, light-hearted, and entertaining for all ages. This would make a GREAT "first real show" for a kid/tween.
Don't see it if you are looking for profound or like, earth-shattering. You're just barking up the wrong tree. It's fun. That's OK.
