See it if You love to watch masters of singing/acting in motion: Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole
Don't see it if You want a musical with a more memorable score (songs and staging were a little one note for me, but Patti and Christine shine)
See it if You want a raw, stripped-down version of this play (albeit one that succeeds in some areas but falls flat in others).
Don't see it if You are expecting to be immersed in Williams' wonderful lyricism.
See it if You like inspired immersion of music - with spot on harmonies - and text, along with excellent physical movement and acting.
Don't see it if You like intermissions - this one runs one hour and twenty minutes without one.
See it if You enjoy plays like 39 Steps (similar concept). Solid acting and staging - thought the actors did a good job conveying the time.
Don't see it if If you don't like shows on the long side (chairs were not comfortable and they easily could have cut 20-25 minutes from the show).
See it if You love Sondheim up close and personal delivered with terrific singing and acting (especially Mrs. Lovett), and great use of the space.
Don't see it if Your not fond of meat pies....
See it if Solid slice of life - characterizations are spot on.
Don't see it if Very, very slow to find its feet in the beginning - the first half felt a bit gratuitous in humor, but picks up later on.
See it if You love great acting and sets. Superb!
Don't see it if Can't think of a reason why you wouldn't!
See it if The acting is terrific - especially the younger set. Although I wanted the music to be more compelling at times, the show's heart is there.
Don't see it if You don't have an open mind and heart.
