See it if you want a truly unique night in the theatre. It was unlike anything I have seen. And touching and heartbreaking and funny. I loved it.

Don't see it if you expect a "play" with a script, linear plot, scenery, etc. This is more like an experience. And it is political in its own way. Try it!

See it if you enjoy Four Seasons music. These guys sing it really well and do the accompanying movement well also. It works OK but not as well as Bway

Don't see it if you don't like the music. That is the big draw. The script is slow-moving at first and very self-serving. But those songs make up for it!

See it if you want to laugh. It doesn't always work or get its overall point across well, but it features great comic performances and funny lines.

Don't see it if you expect a logical script. This makes little sense, really. But it is entertaining, so I would still give it a shot. Laughing is good.

See it if you get a free ticket like I did. The actors work really hard and sing nicely. The Merman impression is quite good. It is a mild diversion.

Don't see it if you expect a full-length musical that makes sense. This doesn't. And many of the songs are blatant rip-offs of other songs. Amateurish show.

See it if you are interested in revivals of old shows. It has some lovely songs, of course, and Carmen Cusack gives it her best shot. Script is creaky

Don't see it if you expect musicals to have strong, logical, funny books. This one hasn't held up. Some people hate City Center, too, for the size.

See it if you want to see a talented young cast singing well and acting their hearts out. They are not the problem, nor are the songs. The script is.

Don't see it if you are bothered by silly, nonsensical scripts. This one is quite bad; they should have stuck to the teen angst aspect without the slasher.

See it if you enjoy Mint's brand of resurrected vintage dramas. It is of historical value and nicely done, if not particularly riveting.

Don't see it if you expect lively drama or don't like talky period pieces. It is preachy and old-fashioned, but rather interesting and diverting in its way

See it if you want to see a lovely, romantic show about true love. It is quite touching and nicely acted. It is also heartbreaking because she is gone

Don't see it if you expect elaborate staging, a real plot, or if you are not a real romantic. You might find it dull. But I found it enchanting. Bravo.

See it if you want to see a beautifully sung, quite amusing staged reading of a charming piece. Wonderful cast. I had never heard of it but loved it!

Don't see it if you don't like staged readings. The cast holds their scripts and staging is rudamentary. But the cast is so wonderful, you should still go!

See it if you are a Sondheim fan, you are curious about this notorious/legendary show, you like shows with minimal cast sizes and clever staging.

Don't see it if you expect a large cast, elaborate production. This may disappoint some purists but it is quite clever and entertaining. And that score!

See it if you love the music, enjoy quirky shows with a message of inclusiveness, enjoy good singing and dancing. It is a fun show, not great but fun.

Don't see it if you are annoyed by jukebox musicals or you hate the idea of modern music combined with 16th century plot/dialogue plus gender-bending.
