Newcity Stage

for a previous production "Chay Yew directs an engaging autobiographical portrait of Quijada, which seeks to reconcile his own identity as a Latino man in America to sufficiently answer the questions of his future child. As a solo performer, Quijada is a charming guide…Though it was delightful to see the experiences that have made Quijada into the man he is today, I was left wishing certain moments were given more time than others...Yet even with this drawback, the journey is delightful to watch." for a previous production "'Washer/Dryer' is a lighthearted comedy that may take a while to heat up, but is highly entertaining once it does. However, the play is not without problems, principally staging. At times it can be difficult to see; audience members next to me leaned forward at one point to make out what was in a bag characters were looking in and holding up, because only those in the front could see clearly. Sightlines aside, 'Washer/Dryer' makes for a fun night out." Full Review
