See it if you enjoy intensely personal storytelling from an incomparable performer. His open-hearted, honest portrayals of life must be experienced.

Don't see it if you dislike minimalist theater, one-person shows, minor references to homosexuality or if you want only light and fluffy entertainment.

See it if you can throw yourself into the experience of mind games — some of which are exceptional — peppered with a few illusions, in a spartan set.

Don't see it if you like flamboyant staging and a lot of physical effects, are highly skeptical, don't have a playful spirit, or want a show with a story.

See it if you like plays that are based on true events, especially a bit of obscure history that you'd be unlikely to know but which has relevance.

Don't see it if you want a well-crafted psychological drama about national identity and social responsibility. The message is lost in mediocre metaphor.

See it if want to see problems with our penal system brought to humorous and painful reality. All actors are excellent and Clue is astonishing.

See it if you like to see closed minds get pried open. The writing isn't Norman Lear, but it's generally good and works in service to the story.

Don't see it if you won't savor an Archie Bunker redux or are annoyed with a somewhat predictable plot trajectory, though neither should keep you away.
