Dated, Disappointing, Slow

See it if If you're interested in political drama and how the 70's relates to what is happening in government today

Don't see it if I think it is retread commentary on how the past relates to the present in terms of corrupt government and women having a voice behind a man

Disappointing, Excruciating

See it if I was so looking forward to seeing this because am a BIG FAN of One Man Two Guvs. But left this at intermission. Which I very rarely do

Don't see it if I found this hard to understand the accents and found nothing redeemable I am usually a big fan of quirky Brit comedies but not this time

Disappointing, Excruciating, Insipid

See it if You like the music of the Go Go's enough to transcend this stupid story. Could have left after 5 minutes but forced myself to stay.

Don't see it if I usually am entertained at jukebox musicals even if they aren't masterful. But if you love theater, don't see this.

Clever, Absorbing, Masterful, Riveting, Entertaining

See it if If you love illusion, this guy is for you. A lot of WOW factor and HOW'D HE DO THAT. My mouth was hanging open throughout

Don't see it if You don't like magic or illusion or expect a big production like Chris Angel. This is one guy and baffling magic

Disappointing, Overrated

See it if It is always great to see Armie Hammer and Josh Charles and they don't disappoint. But the other leads were not great nor was the show

Don't see it if You, like me, are tired of the theme of grown and privileged men acting like spoiled young boys.

Heartbreak House

Not sure how i felt about this adaptation

See it if I have seen other versions of this play and this one was quirky and different which I usually like but still unsure how the production

Don't see it if If you don't like new versions of classic shows

Romantic, Entertaining, Great staging

See it if If you like to see great dancing combined with theater this is highly recommended. But it’s because of the dancing. The show is interesting

Don't see it if Don’t see it if you’re looking for a classic musical with singing and dancing. There is no singing and the dance is classical

Dated, Slow

See it if You like period dramas. However I usually do and like most shows I’ve seen ar the Mint but found this plodding and did not engage me

Don't see it if The reasons outlined above

Clever, Delightful, Entertaining, Great staging, Great singing

See it if You like topical fun musicals. The staging and direction is superb. I would not be upset if this won the Tony.

Don't see it if It is light fare and very girl oriented. If you like serious shows don’t bother. You have to appreciate a little fluff once in awhile

Upper W Side
Cliched, Indulgent, Overrated, I did not like this show as much as most people i know. i watched thinking what? it did not ring true to me and watching a whiny overprivileged kid for 90 minutes was not what i enjoy

See it if Most people I know really liked the show so guess I’m in the minority

Don't see it if It is very screechy. And somewhat MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.

Although i am not usually a fan of one person shows i was of this one. billy crudup does a tour de force of acting and the 90 minutes fly by. i was mesmerized. the storyline was fascinating

See it if No reason not to. If it returns see it.

Don't see it if Can’t think of a single reason

Great singing, Great acting, Saw carousel years ago with patti lupone and audra macdonald (her first tony). while i thought this cast terrific i didn’t love this staging or the increased emphasis on the dance performance in the second act. it is worth seeing for some great songs

See it if Great music. Terrific cast. Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Don't see it if It is still a disturbing story especially now. To somewhat celebrate a wife abuser has always disturbed me about this show.

The Children

Absorbing, Great acting, Intelligent, Thought-provoking, Riveting

See it if You like intelligent drama with a topical theme. Had no idea what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. Very intelligent

Don't see it if If you like light fare, this is not for you

Great acting, Great singing, Great staging, Great writing, Masterful

See it if You enjoy Broadway theater at its best. I could watch Mark Rylance read the phone book. The story is fascinating

Don't see it if Just see it.

Midtown W
Delightful, Exquisite, Great acting

See it if What Broadway musicals should be! Third time I've seen this show and by fr the best. Kelli O'Hara can do no wrong.

Don't see it if You don't like old fashioned musicals

Absorbing, Thought-provoking, Relevant, Great writing, A show for all women to see

See it if You like intelligent writing and thoughtful subject matter. Placing the play in 1992 makes you realize how little progress has been made

Don't see it if You aren't interested in women in the workplace. The male characters are not nuanced but in this case it works

Dated, Disappointing, Slow, Was very disappointed in the show. i though elizabeth mcgovern was too screechy and not nuanced at all.

See it if You're interested in the time period and there are some terrific performances

Don't see it if I would not recommend although I usually love Roundabout productions and have been a subscriber for over 25 years.

Oslo (Broadway)
Upper W Side
Absorbing, Dated, Intelligent, Slow

See it if You have an overwhelming interest in the events it portrays. The acting is terrific and the concept is interesting.

Don't see it if You find revisiting a peace agreement that never lasted to be dated and somewhat irrelevant. Outcome was basically for naught

East Village
Clever, Ambitious, Intelligent, Great writing, Original

See it if While it is no longer playing, if you ever have a chance to see this show - GO. It will make you think about the privacy issues we all face

Don't see it if You have no interest in the topic and have already read enough about it

During previews
Great acting, Absorbing, Intense, Cliched

See it if you like Judith Light and Neil LaBute. Not his best but an engrossing hour of theater. Just don't pay a lot for the tickets

Don't see it if You're tired of cynicism

Delightful, Great singing, Great writing, Intelligent, Original

See it if You are interested the story of 2 amazing black female singers who changed music.

Don't see it if You read the review and aren't interested in the subject matter

For a previous production

See it if You value a different kind of musical And take any teenager you know to see it as well. Never have seen a musical about bullying before

Don't see it if You didn't like Next to Normal. In a similar vein.

Ambitious, Delightful, Great acting, Great staging, Masterful

See it if You love a masterful show regardless if you read the books. However it definitely helps put it all in context. Amazing job of stagecraft.

Don't see it if If you had no interest in the books or the movies don't see it.

During previews
Absorbing, Riveting, Intense, Ambitious

See it if I am a fan of Conor McPherson and he didn't disappoint. Incorporated Bob Dylan songs in a meaningful way without it becoming a jukebox show

Don't see it if You don't like Eugene O'Neill because it was that kind of dark subject matter but not as long as his plays.

Edgy, Quirky, Raunchy, Overrated

See it if You like the words I used to describe it and are curious to see it regardless of my opinion.

Don't see it if I like most shows using the words I described but found this to be trying too hard to be all those things. Usually like unique new voices

Enchanting, Delightful, Entertaining, Great staging, Great singing

See it if Best revival of a musical I have seen in a very long time. Have seen it twice and could see again. Brilliant production-inspired casting

Don't see it if Unless you don't like musicals, I can't think of any reason not to see this show.

Delightful, Entertaining, Great singing, Must see

See it if In these days of too many jukebox musical, Smokey Joe's is still among the best. Terrific revival. Should be Broadway bound

Don't see it if Only reason not to see is if you aren't interested in revivals or don't like the composers

Great singing, Great writing, Dated, Clever, Entertaining

See it if Great dialogue delivered by a stellar cast but what was once an ambitious play is now worth seeing more for the acting than the script.

Don't see it if It is dated in many ways and what was once meant to shock and make you think no longer has that ability.

Midtown W
Absorbing, Ambitious, Great acting, Intelligent, Great writing

See it if If you like Tom Stoppard this is one of his best. So many words but very interesting and absorbing. The acting was fantastic.

Don't see it if If you don’t like shows with wall to wall dialogue, with many references to events in the early past of the 20th century then don’t go.

Disappointing, Edgy

See it if I think many people who like fringe and weird will like this. I am one of those people but did not find it as good as it could have been

Don't see it if I appreciated the creativity and actually wanted to like it more than I did

Absorbing, Great writing, Intense, Coming off his oscar win, martin mcdonaugh does not disappoint. have really enjoyed all of his plays and this one is right up there. if it moves to broadway see it

See it if You like the playwright based on other plays and movies he has written in the past

Don't see it if The language is difficult to understand. Very northern English. Wish I could have watched with subtitles

Clever, Quirky, Entertaining

See it if Had no expectations about this show nor had I read anything about it. But it was a very pleasant surprise.

Don't see it if It was very quirky and may not appeal to all.

Absorbing, Ambitious, Great acting, Relevant, Thought-provoking

See it if It is a very intelligent show with terrific acting. It was totally absorbing and ground breaking.

Don't see it if It is a disturbing subject matter in many ways. Although there is a lot of amusing dialogue it is still a most serious subject.

Confusing, Disappointing, Insipid

See it if You like to see different takes on a classic story. The music and dance are interesting; the acting and writing terrible

Don't see it if You have seen any other production of Frankenstein or even if you haven't. Robert Fairchild who is great, is wasted here.

Peter Pan

See it if I wasn't sure about this show during the first act but stayed to see where it was leading and was rewarded. Need to see it through 3 hours
