Disappointing, Great dancing, Resonant, Great music, Confused book

See it if You're a fan of big band arrangements & creative choreography. The music & dance was definitely the stand out. Beth Leavel was great.

Don't see it if You can't sit through a show that doesn't have it's sh#t together. Book was all over the place. I was so disappointed. 2nd Act was better.

Great acting, Intense, Amazing set/costume design, Absorbing, Great ensemble cast

See it if You love great performances. Laura Linney was incredible - formidable! - as Regina, but the whole ensemble was wonderful. Stunning design.

Don't see it if You prefer contemp. theatre. Or if you don't want to have to see the show twice to feel like you've got the full experience.

Great singing, Great staging, Edgy, Moving, Great music

See it if This was fantastic! Amazing ensemble of talent. Incredible voices. Score is groovy. I want the CD! Both an entertaining & touching story.

Don't see it if You're a homophobe, hate musicals, or prefer your theatre less realistic. This is based on a true story.

Entertaining, Clever, Funny, Relevant, Quirky

See it if You enjoy supporting the Arts, artists, and anyone & everyone who needs a little help! A fantastic tradition bringing Broadway together.

Don't see it if You have no empathy or expect a polished BWay production. The Bonnet is always a good time & bit of fun for the companies & audiences alike.

Delightful, Clever, Entertaining, Great staging, Quirky

See it if I thought this was different, & absolutely delightful. How they staged Amelie's 'daydreams' was very clever. Phillipa Soo is warm & lovely.

Don't see it if You don't care for new works, ensemble pieces, or unusual methods of storytelling. It's not the greatest show out there, but I enjoyed it!

Great writing, Hilarious, Great ensemble, Thought-provoking, Entertaining

See it if You enjoy great writing, great staging/design, great acting and great teamwork. Hilarious and clever, with a wonderful ensemble.

Don't see it if You like happy endings. Upsettingly close to home. Actor who played Jordan was very good, but his speech/vocal technique really bothered me.

Moving, Funny, Resonant, Powerful, Great ensemble

See it if You want a gorgeous, honest, cathartic theatre experience that reminds you of the good in the world. I laughed/cried/wanted to dance along!

Don't see it if I have no reasons. Everyone should see this show!! I loved it.

Delightful, Enchanting, Entertaining, Great staging, Must see

See it if You want to feel the Christmas spirit! There is nothing more wonderful than those moments where it all comes together perfectly.

Don't see it if You are the Grinch, or can't get past some flawed/naff storylines and moments.

Delightful, Intelligent, Quirky, Brilliant score, Moving

See it if You enjoy fresh, invigorating music, great writing, and strong performances. I left both heartbroken and newly whole at the same time.

Don't see it if You don't have a heart.

Great acting, Great dancing, Ambitious, Great cast, Great singing

See it if You want to see incredible performances by epic cast. Audra! Billy! Adrienne! The whole ensemble. Loved the tap, beautiful singing & acting.

Don't see it if The staging/structure of the show was inventive, but way they pieced it together was thin. Worth it to see incredible performances though.

Funny, Great acting, Some clever/original/beautiful stage-craft ideas, Moving, Inconsistent

See it if you love great, well-cast actors. Carmen Cusack was phenomenal! Funny & intelligent & very strong. Show was inconsistent, but I enjoyed it.

Don't see it if you don't like Bluegrass music. I'm not usually a fan, however didn't mind this show. Some songs much stronger & more affecting than others.

Clever, Entertaining, Hilarious, Intelligent, Relevant

See it if You want to see a good majority of the nasty people you have ever come across represented in a funny, refreshing way, by one talented man.

Don't see it if You don't like unconventional ways of portraying things on stage, are close-minded, or never root for the underdog.

Enchanting, Great acting, Exquisite, Amazing voices, Surprisingly funny

See it if You want to experience a life-changing piece of theatre, love a strong ensemble, or want to witness Cynthia Erivo take your breath away!

Don't see it if JHud's vocals were flawless, but she looked like she didn't want to be there, which was disappointing, as the rest of the cast were living!

Clever, Entertaining, Great writing, Hilarious, Delightful

See it if You love laughing! Great, low-brow humour, delivered through intelligent writing, incorporating a million tongue-in-cheek pokes at Broadway.

Don't see it if You don't have a funny bone.

Original, Great staging, Great acting, Clever, Touching

See it if You liked the book, enjoy remarkable actors, and want to witness some incredible and inventive ideas that translate it from page to stage.

Don't see it if You have no empathy, sense of humour, or imagination.

Enchanting, Delightful, Great staging, Magical, Moving

See it if You're a romantic, liked the film, or want to be reverted to your childhood by the magic! It's not consistently great, but it is beautiful!

Don't see it if You're not open-minded.

Great staging, Hilarious, Epic, Intelligent, Thought-provoking

See it if You love creative, clever new works. The beginning was slow for me, but it just got better! Staging and design was amazing - and so funny!

Don't see it if You're impatient. It is quite long, & obviously there is a lot of repetition - but it's done well & so worth it! Great ensemble piece.

Delightful, Funny, Great staging, Entertaining, Fluffy

See it if You enjoy light entertainment and intelligent staging. The Greek chorus was hilarious and cleverly used. It's like a mini rom-com musical.

Don't see it if You only like big-budget theatre with huge production values. This is a new work, but well-done.

Stunning costumes, Incredible projections/effects, Great ensemble, Great singing

See it if You're a big kid, enjoyed the film, love exquisite costumes, or want to see magic/amazing ghost & snow effects. O'Connor steals the show.

Don't see it if You can't handle change. It's not the same as film. Some changes seemed unnecessary. The show seemed clunky, scenes didn't flow. Needs work.

Entertaining, Extraordinary circus elements, Great singing, Talented ensemble, Amazing design/costumes

See it if You enjoy epic circus skills and tricks, or want to witness a cast of quintuple threats! Glorious costumes. Old Hollywood at its best.

Don't see it if You can't ignore a thin storyline. It doesn't compare to other musicals on Broadway, but Cirque does circus well & Paramour is no different.

Great acting, Ambitious, Interesting, Modernised, Minimal

See it if You enjoy Williams' work, a good ensemble, or new, bare interpretations. Refreshing to see a disabled actor playing the part of Laura.

Don't see it if Look, it got better as it went. By the end I was left feeling that it was actually pretty good. Def missed the Southern accents though.

Great singing, Epic, Raunchy, Great acting, Great sets

See it if You love old-school musicals. All the moving parts were great, the singing/acting/costumes/set etc. The Engineer was the stand-out by far!

Don't see it if You dislike poor translations from original works. Some of the music is obviously iconic and beautiful, but some of the lyrics are just bad.

Confusing, Great staging, Relevant, Thought-provoking

See it if You are intrigued by the idea of a post-apocalyptic world and what that would be like.

Don't see it if You prefer to get answers. This was definitely intriguing, with some good performances, but inconsistent.

Midtown W
Intense, Great acting, Absorbing, Dizzying, Raunchy

See it if you want to see Denis Arndt's spectacular work. He stole this. It's an intriguing play.

Don't see it if You get turned off easily by a story that doesn't give you all the answers.

Great staging, Great dancing, Entertaining, Great use of sound/lighting/projections, Hated the 'modernised' tracks

See it if You love shiver-inducing moments when great music, projections, costume, & the precision dancing the Rockettes are known for come together.

Don't see it if You can't sit through bad writing & techno vers. of brilliant songs (i.e. Frank Sinatra's 'New York' & Chorus Line's 'One') make you cringe.

Delightful, Entertaining, Great acting, Funny, Incredible sets

See it if Great ensemble of actors. Funny script, delivered with their own flair. Left with the warm-&-fuzzies. LAURA. BENANTI. Flawless. That is all.

Don't see it if you dislike musicals that are more like plays. Would call this a play with songs. Loved the actors' intelligent & confident orig. choices!

1599 Project
Original, Intense, Intelligent, Great staging, Great acting

See it if You love the Bard, enjoy watching a courageous team of actors, & refreshing, ingenious stagings of plays in a versatile & beautiful space.

Don't see it if You don't have patience, can't listen, and prefer seeing things performed the tried, traditional way. Warning, 4+ hrs in duration.

Great acting, Darkly funny, Resonant, Deliberately confusing, Clever

See it if You want to witness a powerful, emotional performance by Mr Langella. He somehow finds moments of humour in a sadly deteriorating mind.

Don't see it if You don't like leaving a show without a resolution. It definitely leaves you confused and questioning things, just like its protagonist.

Lead actor was great, Funny, Some stand-out moments, Historical, Great writing

See it if You appreciate theatre made on a budget. These guys did a pretty good job with a tiny space and the bare minimum. Lead actor was phenomenal!

Don't see it if You are easily bored, or bad accents make you twitch. Some interesting history etc, and some fun moments, but also some dull periods.

Midtown W
Great staging, Thought-provoking, Intense, Heavy, Great writing

See it if You like shows that leave you hanging, with questions left unanswered. I thought about it for days after. Dark, different, engaging.

Don't see it if Things make you uncomfortable/confronted/offended easily.

See it if You're fan of well-written, intelligent work. Minimal set, minimal distractions, great performances. Very funny.

Don't see it if You don't like listening.

Entertaining, Relevant, Exciting, Fantastic music, Funny

See it if You love great music, great costumes, great musical theatre! The score is fantastic, makes you want to dance and sing along with them!

Don't see it if You're a homophobe. But even then, you would learn something from this show.
