About:  I have been an arts lover since I was young whether it be theatre, dance, music esp jazz influenced by the American Songbook. Nothing thrills me more than a superb production of a musical, whether a classic or new and innovative.

Entertaining, Funny, Great acting, Great staging

See it if You like Spongebob and/or have a kid to take. The best sets, costumes, lighting since Lion King. Terrific choreography and direction. Fun!

Don't see it if you only like serious plays and deeper musicals.

Entertaining, Great acting, Hilarious, Great staging

See it if You could watch Mark Rylance read a phone book. He is the main reason to go but it is also beautifully staged and interesting historically.

See it if you want to see a very different musical. It’s humorous, funny and poignant. Great acting. Yazbek’s score is his best.

During previews
Clever, Delightful, Funny, Great acting, Refreshing

See it if Not quite as entertaining as the company’s Sense and Sensibility and a bit over the top, it’s still a super fun evening.

Don't see it if You do not appreciate “messing with the classics”. It is wacky and silly but very clever.

Relevant, Indulgent, Entertaining

See it if It is amusing if your politics are liberal and esp. if you like Michael Moore. Beware, however, the show runs 2:30 with no intermission.

Don't see it if If your politics are conservative, if you like Donald Trump and even if you don't like him, stay home.

Delightful, Entertaining, Great singing, Great staging

See it if If you have a tween or teenager to accompany you. It is a formulaic musical but intelligent and has an appealing heroine to root for.
